Easy install Works a lot better than stock CPU fan
|
Fan is loud The water being pumped is heard every so often Fan doesn't pull as much air as expected
|
After an easy install, it's a game of if you get annoyed by all the relatively loud sounds it makes but I can't complain since it's working better than the stock cooler.

I installed one of these yesterday. The installation went smoothly, but not sure why people complain about instructions. It's so easy "a caveman could do it". I hear absolutely no noise from that pump at all. I actually had to confirm it was running, it was so quiet it made me nervous. The fan that came with it, barely even any noise from that, unless I have my ear close to the puter. Just a simple "wooshing" from the air. I ran it for awhile and barely any heat coming from it. I am a happy camper.

Aesthetically appealing Fantastic cooling potential (Depends on your fan and thermal paste) Price

|
I bought this heatsink to replace my old Zalman CNPS9500 on a Intel Core 2 Q9550. On my Zalman, I was hitting 45 degrees celsius idling and 70 degrees celsius under load.
I mounted the radiator on the rear of my Antec 900 case with an Antec Tricool fan. As for thermal paste, I used Arctic Silver 5. Installation of both heatsink and radiator was fast and simple.
As for my temperatures now, idle temperature dropped to 36 degrees with my full load temperatures getting only as high as 55 degrees celsius.
Fantastic purchase. Will be buying more from Corsair. :)

-near silent -cools great

-the tubes feel "cheap" have to take corsair's word for it
|
I actually used this product to cool something else, other than my 2500k CPU.
The temp drop was from 44 to 33 Idle, and 75 to 60 100% load. The greatest change was the noise. Before, it sounded like I had half of a jet engine in my case, and now it's much MUCH quieter.
Corsair also has a great reputation for durability/customer service and all that jazz, looking forward to using this product.

|
Bit pricey for the temp improvements
|
Ive worked with a few of these now for various builds, and they are a breeze to install. Personally for my own builds I think its worth it to pay a bit more for the H100 if your case can handle it, but if you just want a nice moderate yet stable overclock, this is a great choice. Always had good results from Corsair, and their service is excellent if you did ever have a problem.

All in one, maintenance free kit. Reasonably priced. Great for first time into water cooling Easy installation

Poor performance on AMD (but great on Intel i5) Need to add second fan for push/pull configuration to get best result
|
Got this to cool my AMD FX 8150. It is really no enough (even in a push/pull configuration). So I installed it on a i5 (unlocked) setup and work perfectly. (1GHZ overclock, bump in voltage and still rock solid at 50c).

Quiet and efficient.Seems decently constructed.
|
Bulky dimensions wouldn't allow normal mounting on a Thermaltake Commander case. Had to mount it on the top of the case.
|
The pump turned out to have too much of a top margin to mount it in the client's case. Had to mount it on the top of the case and work around it.
Seems to function very efficiently while overclocking a modest 4.0 on a i5 2500k. Would buy again, but with a different case. ;)

Easy to install, Provides good cooling
|
Cat likes to lay on top of case blocking airflow
|
Was able to overclock my CPU 1.06 GHz while keeping it a lower temperature than the stock cooler when pushing it to 100% across all cores. The fact that it pushed all the heat outside of the case, means the internal temperature of the case is better for keeping chipsets and other components cool.
Only tricky part of the installation is getting the screws through the case, and the fan to screw into the radiator, it would be nice to have a friend to help hold pieces in place while you do it, but you can manage it on your own.
Very happy with this cooler for overclocking, liked it enought to perhaps try the H100 next time to see how much higher I can push the overclocking.

Provides very good cooling to date and is fairly quite.
|
The large fan was awkward to fit in the back of my computer case and has a tendency to collect a lot of dust - requires regular cleaning but this is minor.
|
I purchased this in Apr/11 for $60 and it has been keeping my AMD Phenom II X6 1090T at a cool temperature, which is good as I do alot of gaming. The installation to the processor was easy and this being my first liquid cool device, overall it has been a good buy. I definately recommend this as a cooling option.

775 Mounting issues
|
I bought this after my Coolit Eco failed and leaked all over my computer, despite being made by Coolit I decided to give this Corsair a go. So far it does seem to have better build quality so hopefully it lasts. I did have a issue installing it onto my Maximus 775 board, the indents on the block were too tight to line up with the mounting posts. It installed fine into my 1155 machine. Seems to perform great so far, I just hope it doesn't meet the same fate as my Eco.

Very nice looking heat sink. The water cooling I find is very effective. Generally any of the heat sinks will work fine(look for some based on some reviews) but if you like to make your case look super slick this is something to get.. I liked this over the higher end hydro series because i thought it looked the most simple and sleak. Works like a charm too.
|
You can't exactly find much wrong with this, it's so well designed. Some people may complain about the tubes being stiff, I'd rather it stiff than more loose and flimsy.
|
All in all a great cooler, a PM wouldn't make the price too shabby either. Just do some research. I would recommend this if you were looking for some great cooling and some eyecandy for the case. This isn't going to be replaced for a while.

+Compact and light pump unit fits in small cases +Surprisingly Quite +looks nice +Cools very well +Flexible hoses +I was able to use Noctua NF-P14FLX 14cm fan on it cuz that fan has 12cm fan holes. +installation was easier than mounting a TRUE due to size
|
-Jet sounding fan, ok not jet but mini vacuum I guess -Did not come with extra screws to mount second fan
|
I was surprised at how quite this unit is, maybe I got lucky seeing as how other ppl complain abt pump noise. I can't hear any pump noise even with my ear close to it on open test bed. I plugged the pump into the Chassis fan 2 connector on mobo. I know they recommend to plug into PS molex but I have no issues. Cooling performance is amazing for such a small unit, I was thinking it would be worst than a TRUE. My CPU Idles at 28-33 depending on core and prime-95 load reaches 53-56 which is amazing by my books especially cuz I'm using a quieter and lower RPM fan than the Corsair. This was on open testbed. Rig: I7 2600K stock with ht and turbo on (3.8ghz turbo) Asus Maximus Rog mATX 8gb Gskill ram 6870 PC V354 case (will update soon with temps inside case I guess)

- Looks very nice, once installed on the motherboard - Simpler installation compared to the Antec H2O 620 (Asetek mounting system i.e. H50/H70) - (Radiator) fan frame is very ridget which reduces the potential for fan/rad twist due to un-equal screw torques
|
- After mounting, remounting, calling Corsair Customer Support about torque limits (which did not tell me anything new; basically use judgment in tightening) and remounting again, the pump gave off a intermittent reverberating grinding sound. The reverberation could not be picked up if the pump is tested in your hand without solidly mounted in a motherboard, since it is the direct contact that transmits the reverberation (Disabled, Cool n' Quite and Q-Fan settings, reverberation persisted) [NOTE: I was pleased to see that the pump reverberation went away, after I came back to the running system in 14 hours, and the system was now silent (except the fans); however, an over a week has past and I noticed that clocking down my overclok to factory settings causes the temps to drop below 35C which is when the reverberation starts - some compare the sound to an old HDD accessing data, and it is getting worst - time to RMA.] - AMD mounting system though simple is very poor - why they could not design 4-point bracket to pick-up on the AMD back plate is beyond me - Had to reseat the pump/heatsink due to uneven pressure on the CPU
|
- Overall a very slick looking system once installed. - Even with the current AMD mounting system, Corsair/CoolIT should design a stop-washer/spacer/bushing, which could be used to reduce the chance for over-torquing.

This is not my first Corsiar H product, I was a big fan of the H50 and after using this product I have nothing bad to say. Great cooling solution all around.
The H60 was far easier to install on an AMD socket motherboard then the H50. It just clamps on the original heat sink plastic. The old H50 needed its own back plate and holder

- CPU temps dropped 10-15*C - Comes pre-filled with coolant
|
- The rad is wider than the fan, and might not fit in your rear fan grill. Check that it fits your case! I had to, er, ghetto-fix it into my case (mid-tower). Protip: zip-ties.
|
I had a target of 10*C drops, and acheived that and more. Hot air blows out of the rad - as it should. Installation would have been incredibly simple had my case fit the rad - the AMD installation bracket was very ingenious.

Small so should fit in tight cases unlike some air coolers. Instructions are detailed enough

Only the bare minimum amount of screws, the double ended screw broke while installing so had to contact Corsair for replacements

Temps did go down but only from 40 to 30 idle, Intel i5-2500k. Will replace the thermal compound to see if there will be improvements. Attached with 1 fan, intake through the back of the case.

Keeps Cpu cool Quiet Multiple ways for configuring
|
Depending on motherboard, Pump may need to be postioned differently than instructions (see summary)
|
Got this cooler on sale total $70 definately worth it. Have it Was paired with a q6600 2.4 overclocked to 3.4ghz with a pull config (exhaust)in a NZXT apollo case max temp approx 70 degrees C core temp. Decided to Swap out the stock fan and added a push pull config with two coolermaster fans now max temp is 63 degrees C core. So depending on case configuration dual fans can make a big difference. Otherwise the stock fan works very well and is quiet on idle but can be set to ramp up when needed.
Only con was installation, on a asus p5q board if the pump is placed in the rotation that the instructions images show it will not seat properly due to circutry on the board. This is more so motherboard design flaw. So no reason to take any stars.
Overall it is an excellent product definately worthwhile for overclocking, offers multiple ways for configuration to suit the needs of pretty much any case set up. Top notch and would definately buy again.

Cool design Low price for a watercooling setup (55$ on sale) possibility to add a 2nd fan
|
Same performance as an A50
|
This cooler replaced the stock cooler on a i7 2600k at stock speed. I was getting around 65degrees idling with the stock HSF. Now I am getting around 35degrees on idle which is kind of high for a watercooling setup. I also added a 2nd corsair fan in push pull config. The A50 gives the same performance and is alot cheaper. The only reason I got this is because I couldn't get any HSF due to the high profile of my 16gb corsair vengeance ram kit.

- Got good temps idles around 35c, and highest temp I've gotten is 57c on prime95 w/ i7 920 e stock - Easy to install - Looks nice and doesn't take up a ton of room - The cooler itself is more or less silent, I can hardly hear it with my head up to the case
|
- Fan is a little loud, I may consider buying a quieter one later on - Be nice if it came with extra screws for a push pull config but it seems to work fine with two screws until I manage to find similar screws
|
Just got it today and no problems, had to take my mobo out as it couldn't squeeze the back plate in but that's a problem with my case (CM 690 II) not the H60. I would defiantly get another one if I were to build another pc. My stock cooler was quite a bit louder then this one so it was well worth it imo.

small, 120mm fan will fit in most places, light, the heatblock is light, so no incorrect pressure on the CPU
|
Fan is fairly quiet, but does add dbs to the overall system. tubing is a bit short, so placement options will be a bit limited. The pump power cable only has 3 pins, so some motherboards will report fan errors when the system is running, you may have to modify your BIOS to ignore the fan speed for the pump.

Very good Liquid kit. Sure it won't stand a chance against a custom water block, but it is just as good if not better than the Venemous X, without the heavy weight on the motherboard. My 980x never crosses 35C. Thin. Makes better airflow in case over motherboard.
|
Does not come with enough screws to add a push pull configuration. I got lucky and found 4 screws from an old i380 server case that happened to have the same thread (lol to the fact that I still have that case).
|
I think I summed it up with the pros and cons. One more thing...it is really great over an high end air cooler. It is not in the way if you go in and out of your case like I do. And it looks SWEET when you replace the fans with GELID Wing LED blue or green fans! I also have a custom window kit for my CM 692 which helps it look great.

I decided to get the H60 with two Noctua fans in a push/pull configuration and the temps are great! Even with 26'C degrees in the office, I'm getting 25'C degrees on the CPU (i7 860) on idle. At full load (using Prime95) I'm getting around 50'C which is also great. Once the summer heat drops (no AC in the house) I'll be testing with more OC'ing. I got this item on sale ($59.99) and for the performance and how quiet it is, can't complain.

bought it on sale, and its okay. had to use two screws instead of 4 screws because i want to make it a push pull style radiator. initially didnt fit on my case, so had to go buy another slim fan. it saved me quite a lot of space and noise. ironically, the temperature is actually higher than my air cooling with cooler master hyper tx push pull... but then again, its not that much of a difference (was at 14degrees on my amd 1090t before switching to H60, now cpu idles at 19-20degrees)

Bought this to overclock an i5-2600k. Got it up from 3.3 to 4.8 with very little stress. Max temps were under 70 degrees when running a 72 hour prime95 test, meaning there should never be any problems with the overclock. Definitely a good buy, although it's hard to say if the performance outdoes cheaper air coolers. One thing to mention is it doesn't clutter up your case, and leaves plenty of room for you case fans to provide good airflow to the rest of your components, which is nice.

- Would like another matching fan for push-pull

- Works really well, can't really complain at all. Idle temperatures for a 2600k OC'd to 4.6GHz run in the low 30s, under load in the low 60s, and after a few hours of Prime95 all cores were still <72.
Time will tell how good it is in the long run...

Very effective colling system
|
Require more space to mount the radiator. Require fan controller to turn down speed of the water pump.
|
I tried various low profile CPU cooler (Prolimatech Samuel 17, Scythe Shuriken and Silenx Effizio) for SilverStone SG06 mini-itx case but none of them can keep the CPU cool. I google and found some users installed H50 (with case mod). The H60 is same size rad but with new pump and fan. With case mod the SG06 (lower input fan by half inch) install with Scythe KAZE-JYUNI Slip Stream Slim fan (push only) because of the tight space. The water pump give unaceptable clicking noise at full speed. The Prime95 stress test will never go above 60 degree, which in the past end up 75 - 88 with other low profile air cooler. I am impressed by this cooler.
This review was modfied by poster b 04-18-11 08:49 AM
The water pump died yesterday without any warning. The waterpump worked only for about 3 months. I turn on the pc and suprise to see that it automatic re-starting with error code. I go to BIOS health check and found CPU temp was sky rocket to over 80 degree C. The CPU fan RPM is fine but water pump RPM is zero. I power up only the waterpump through the test bench power supply and it is dead silence.
Lucky I did not end up like the one reported on the forum. http://forum.corsair.com/v3/showthread.php?t=94710&highlight=pump+fail
Now I have to take the ITX apart and replace H60 by CoolIt Eco which I bought it on sale for $20. Hope this one will not fail.
I try to change recommendation to 2 star but system ask for order ID. I do not want to spent more time to search for it.

-Good performance -Low profile pump -Quiet
|
-AMD bracket "finicky" at best
|
This is my 2nd H60. I got this to replace my Corsair A70(corsair fan-boy what can I say) Which was on my AMD machine. The other one is on a Intel based system. Over all I am impressed with this unit it has really good performance and runs really quite.
Now for the not so good part. When compared to the Intel mounting system, the AMD bracket is finicky. It uses the default (the one that comes with the board) mounting and backplate. It's basically attached by 2X little hook-like things. The pump kept sliding all over the place and as a result was hard to center on the CPU. Their is also no "stop" point to the tightening screws they will basically keep going until something fails, so you have to use your judgment.
The Intel bracket was much more secure and a lot easier to instal. Personally for a high end cooler I don't know why they couldn't use a similar system for the AMD sockets.
I am only giving it 3X stars because of the problems with the AMD mounting system.

I must say that it performs with roughly the same level of cooling as my precious air unit, but I like it much better. The socket has no strain on it, and the unit is very compact, and tidy.
There will never be any issues with ram heat-sinks, or tight installations.
For the money, this performs (in my opinion) as well as a large air cooler, and costs the same as large air cooler, but for some reason is much more gratifying.
The supplied fan is also, really nice. It has a huge motor, and is very quite (I was surprised)
