Bought this for my PVR and it worked perfectly. For those that have the Scientific Atlanta 8300 HD (first gen from videotron) it works just fine. You just have to be patient during the formatting process. It can range from 45min to 2h

Just bought a brand new computer but cheaped out a bit to take advantage of this hard drive, along with a video card. This drive has been working perfectly. I am used to the old 5400rpm drives, so this one works like a dream for me!

Great drive for the price. Works better than the seagate drives i have currently. Fast data transfer rates, great for media applications. Would purchase this drive again without hesitation.

Picked this up at a great price and it's been running well ever since. Chose this over the problematic seagate drives and till this day there hasn't been any problems with it whatsoever. Seems to run cooler than the seagates as well.

Couldn't pass up the price per GB; but as time passes, everyone else will catch up. Finding that the 2 drives I picked up run warmer than the Samsungs (500GB, 750GB and F1 1TB all average around 24 - 27C) and the Seagates (average around 33C) in my system. Idles around 37C. Measured with HD Tune 2.55. Wanted the 7200rpm instead of the WD Green drives - but may switch back now that the WD Green are the same price point (1.5TB k 8c/GB)
