Antec introduces the next stage in power supply evolution: the CP Series, an entirely new form factor design made exclusively for Antec's most cutting-edge cases, such as the Twelve Hundred, P183 and P193. Delivering an excellent price-to-performance ratio, the CP-850's extended form factor design allows for improved component selection, better circuit board layout, more room between components and a straight-through air path to take full advantage of the large 120mm PWM fan. With 80 PLUS certification and Advanced Hybrid Cable Management, the CP-850 is a cost-effective, high-performance solution for your Antec case. So slide that old power supply to the side; there's a new form factor in town.

Pros
No issues in the two years since I bought it
Quiet
Cons
Not standard ATX size so only good for certain cases
Summary
Bought this when I got my Antec P182 case. It has lasted for over two years so far with no issues.
It is very quiet. Do not even hear it over the ambient noise in the room.

Would recommend this power supply if you have a case that can fit it.

Pros
-never need another psu again
Cons
-none
Summary
Got this with the p183 and never had any problems for 2 years now. Don't recommend for starter builds since it's pretty overkill!

Pros
Includes a good amount of connected and modular cables.
Cons
None.
Summary
Excellent value. Very large power supply, make sure your case has the space for it. Antec cases usually do, just make sure. The size makes cooling so effective that it operates much cooler and quieter then my old 450 watt PSU.

Partially modular design is fine by me. In my build I used every permanently attached cable but needed none of the modular ones. If I get more hard drives or a second graphics card down the road I will then have the modular cables to work with, but they are out of the way for now which is perfect. (I used an Antec DF 85, Core i7 950, MSI GTX 460 HAWK, ASUS Sabertooth X58 motherboard, two HDD drives and a DVD drive).

As I understand it this is an open standard for size. It would be nice to see this catch on with other companies. I plans on reusing this PSU and case for future builds though so realistically it doesn't matter to me.

Pros
Quiet & powerful
Cons
Size (keep this in mind if your installing in another case)
Summary
This power supply is awesome in that it encompasses two things that really don't seem to go hand in hand when you talk about other companies : Power and Quiet. Antec accomplishes this with this power supply. Keep in mind the size of it if you are considering installing it in another case. And make sure you have another bracket for the back of your computer case. It runs quieter than my previous 400W power supply

Pros
High build quality, hefty and quiet
Cons
Not as modular as Corsair power supplies
Summary
I was looking for a P183 case and found a combo that included this drive - specifically manufactured for several Antec cases including the P183.

Large in size and hefty, it runs very quiet. It's not as modular as the Corsar power supplies (there is still a big bundle of cables coming out that cannot be disconnected) but it's nice to have one specifically designed for Antec cases. Though, if you're not putting it in an Antec case, you may want to look elsewhere.

Pros
very, very well built, dual pcb allows for air to flow clear through from the pwm 120mm fan, long cables, modular, 4 massive 12v rails that provide pure graphics power
Cons
none
Summary
According to reviews this thing is almost overbuilt for its price range. It can compete with the signature series which is $100 more. I don't see its size being a weakness because I own the 1200. It fits the 1200 like a glove. All the cables are a perfect length with lots of extras for sli and with dongles, tri-sli. Its massive 12v rails combine for 94 amps and total wattage of 786W!!! The placement of the fan and the design of the dual pcb's allow for excellent cooling and acts as another exhaust fan for your case. Awesome.

Pros
Quiet, Stable
Cons
Big! I mean it is huge. Only a few cases can fit this PS.
Summary
This is the biggest PS I have ever bought. It is very well build. The power is extremely stable. I have been leaving it on for days. It's very quiet as if I didn't turn my computer on.

Pros
Quiet
Powerful
Modular
Cons
Big
Summary
This is a big PSU, but you already knew this, I placed it in its weakness, but it could easily be in its strenghts too. For now its there because of its proprietary nature which can't be a positive point. But if you have a case in which it can fit (one of the 3), then its an amazing product. I read reviews about it delivering super stable power. Its very quiet, I can't hear it in my P183.

Only little point is that there is 1 cable which seems to serve no purpose which is permanently attached, it would have been nice if that cable was detachable like the rest of the "optional" cables.

Pros
Big, a modular psu, nice fan
Cons
BIG BIG BIG! Make sure you have the 3 cases listed before buying otherwise it won't fit.
Summary
i got this for my antec 1200 case. it fits perfectly in there with barely any room from the motherboard.

nice long lines to reach from behind unlike the other psu's reach.

Comment: It is possibly the most quiet PSU tested, but read carefully to see under what conditions. According to SPCR, it is truly a great piece of hardware.

Comment: A comprehensive review of this unit, going inside and outside of it. Pushing it beyond its limits at very high temperatures, wow.

Comment: If the CPX form factor catches on, the CP-850 will be flat out untouchable. It is completely unmatched by any ATX unit on the market I can think of. You'd have to spend twice as much as this thing costs to find the next best thing, performance wise.
