Pros

awesome picture quality, FULL HD, light weight, 2 hdmi port works great with PS3 or labtop.
Cons
pricey if its not on sale, some people say black level is lacking.
Summary
I got this projector on sale 2 years ago plus free shipping, great deal! great picture quality even project on the plane wall, very adjustable settings, does get very hot, place a labtop fan on the bottom while operating for cooling, the fan on this projector is quiet compare to other model I have seen, just dont over use this projector and it will last for a very long time, and make sure to let it rest after few hours of usage, still working for me as the first day I brought this product! love it:)

Pros

Cheap, looks great
Cons
Bulb life.
Summary
Great projector, but the 3000/4000 hour bulb life claim is pure bullshit (probably why it is only warrantied for 90 days)
My first bulb died at 500 hours, second at 600. Friend's at 700, brother's at 650. I can't speak for them, but both my bulbs were in the low-brightness mode.
Great projector, but expect to pay upwards of $0.50/hour to actually use it.

Note: This would be 1 star... if NCIX didn't block people from posting bad reviews.

Low price;
Light weight (Portable)
Ready to use out of box
Cons

Summary
Well worth my 1 year wait for my first projector. No need to do any adjustment. Excellent picture playback and dark is very dark. As for mounting,I used an old fibreboard, 2 wood scrap and 3 M3 screws found from old computer parts, along with three bolt/nut/butterfly screws to mount it on my basement ceiling. The unit is so light that I can carry it anywhere. It is very quiet, at least I can't hear any fan noise during movie playback. The fan is on high only when you switch it off. You can't go wrong with this baby. highly recommended.

Pros

Bright picture
Great colour reproduction
Great price
Cons
Some rainbowing effects
Summary
This is my first home theater projector purchase after owning 4 LCD and plasma HDTVs. I must say I couldn't be happier.

I've set this up to project a 120" image and 1080p material like Blu Rays have never looked better.

I did my homework before buying this and can highly reccomend it.

Pros

- True 1080p (FullHD) picture, and it shows
- Competitive pricing
- Viable alternative to a big TV
Cons
- Makes some compromises vs. more costly units
- Passable black level
- Can be noisey
Summary
Given that I have an ideal basement light-controlled area, I chose this projector over a replacement big-screen television in my home theatre.

Starting with a price point in mind, I decided on one of the new entry level 1080p projectors, and settled on the HD-200x based on availability from NCIX.

Let me start by saying WOW. Full High Definition is a real treat for those unaccustomed to it, and my old rear-projection set didn't deserve to bear the "HD-TV" moniker. Take some decent source material (such as some FullHD movie downloads on an HTPC, or a Blu-Ray disk), and even a 12-foot screen remains sharp and impressive.

Going against common sense, I'm not using a prepared screen. My existing slightly-cream colored wall has worked better than expected, though I'm sure there is improvement to be had.

Reviewers seemed to always point out black-level as a weakness. I have no point of reference since this is my first projector, but I confirm in a dark room this unit does cast  some light on black areas. This is manageable with brightness controls, and far from unbearable, but definitely something I'd expect improvement on in more expensive products.

Fan noise is also something that may bother some. The standard (non-bright) bulb mode is accompanied by a faint whir in the background -- a possible pest if your unit is close at hand. Bright bulb mode turns that pest into a tiny jet plane, but thankfully bright mode is probably unnecessary for most.

Brightness in lumens seems satisfactory even in the standard (non-extra-bright) bulb mode, even for my roughly 125" swatch of painted wall. You are going to want a light-controlled room, but that's a given for any projector.

The remote has buttons that are backlit by blue LED, and it is literally bright enough to use as a flashlight in a pinch. It's actually bright enough to complain about, really. IR control strength is important, especially since your projector is likely right above your head, and you'll probably forget to point the remote there instead of in front. I found it to be a bit iffy about "bounced" signals. My Logitech universal remote worked much better.

Something to consider for a proper install may be cable lengths. I'm running a 30ft HDMI cable from my receiver. Apparently my cable wasn't premium quality, and the weakened signal gives me some problems with digital noise. My HTPC drives the projector pretty well, but my HD Cable box refuses to run the HDMI input from that distance. I'm going to try an HDMI repeater (booster) unit.

See a few sample photos of this projector (my setup) in action at www.geekjosh.com/projector

Pros

Price, Price and Price. Picture quality, number of inputs,
Cons
Fan noise, limited throw distance, verticle offset.
Summary
This is the second Optoma DLP I have owned, the other bieng a Movietime DV10. I upgraded to this 1080P Hi Def.
Outstanding picture quality for a $1200.00 projector. It has enough basic features that you will not be missing anything. It was easy to set up, and picture looked great out of the box. I played with a few settings but really didnt need to. Unless you are a true videofile, and I suspect shoppers in this price range are not, you will be very happy with a factory set up. I have the projector right above me in the room, and the fan is a bit noisy in quiet scenes. Menus are easy to navigate through. The remote is backlit, but only icons are illuminated, so you you need to learn the meanings.
Bottom line is for a 1080P projector the price is amazing. It lets people on a budget into the full Hi-Def large screen experience.
