reliable, good brand name, all the right connections
Cons none

Good PSU for budget builds. My customer has used it for 6 months and has had no issues so far. It has everything you need in a basic power supply, good brand name, and reasonably well built.

Experience: 1 Months

Good Amps on 12V channel
Cables are good length for regular case
Good price - $30
Cons None for the price

Purchased this PSU for a simple build. The fan is quiet, enough power, and price was right. Would require more connectors for a higher end machine.

Experience: 1 Years

Cons none

- Price
- Great brand

Cons - None

Great standard power supply for your standard workstation build.

Inexpensive, quiet
Cons Some people/reviews seem to claim claim it cant deliver the full rated power which may or may not be true. For most general purpose computers, it delivers more than enough power.

Used this to replace a power supply in a Dell Optiplex 745. It seems to be one of the most inexpensive power supplies with a large, quiet fan with power nicely suited for general purpose home and office machines.

Experience: 1 Days

cheap when on sale, seems to deliver the required power, relatively quiet, good for a low end system
Cons unpainted housing makes the ps look old and cheap, wires are relatively thin compared to other ps at the same price range

Purchased this for a budget build and although it provided the claimed voltages at the rails, it still felt relatively "cheap" for an entry level power supply. The build was for a friend and used an FM2 based A-series system and the mobo manual even indicated that an older 20-pin ps would work (without the need for a 20 to 24 pin adapter). I had a similar build that even has a generic power supply (logysis) and has been running stable so I'm pretty confident that the cooler master 400 (or 460) will be more than sufficient and stable for this particular machine.

The wires coming from the power supply where thinner than what I expect them to be and even my generic ps look bigger (I understand that some ps seem to have bigger wires due to the insulation used). Anyway, my other personal builds all use corsair power supplies (GS, TX and CX so I guess I was just expecting a bit more).

Overall, it is still a good ps for budget builds and even with a discrete mid-end video card. Comes with a standard 1-year warranty (verified after registering on CM website)

almost free...
Cons almost free...

on a $700.0 build for a friend I was running to close to the limit so I had to skimp on the PSU, never a good idea but hes only going to be using this thing for a month or two till he has cash for something better. with that said I have a single 5850 in the thing and almost brought it to its knees with a few other devices installed. poor little psu fighting so hard to stay alive... so hard... but it is what it is dirt-cheap-low-wattage. at this price point I'm more then happy with the little guy =D

Good Value on sale
does what its suppose to
great for pc if not worried about looks
Cons Silver
cables not sleeved
cables average

Purchased this for a built for a family member that isn't all that worried about the overall look of their system, it does exactly what we needed it to, we ended up using an 8pin xtension cable to keep the cable routing as neat as possible.

Would buy again as for basic build

- Great sale prices
- Feels solid (ie, doesn't feel empty like really cheap PSUs)
Cons - No issues yet

Some reviews I've read of these basic Coolermaster PSUs indicated that, when looked at very closely, there is a lot of noise generated by the power supply's switching circuitry. Perhaps. And it may not be super efficient.

But this isn't a power supply targeting servers and mission critical computers - this is a basic desktop computer replacement. Not meant for gamers, or power users, just a simple replacement power supply. And that, it does quite well.

I buy these when they go on sale to use as test PSUs for clients and myself, the problem being that I always end up using it as a replacement, and find myself needing another for testing!
