GIGABYTE P55A-UD3P Obtains USB 3.0 Motherboard Certification Officially
The GIGABYTE P55A-series motherboards support the latest generation SuperSpeed USB 3.0 technology made possible through an onboard NEC uPD720200 host controller. Solid board with a decent set of features for mid-pack systems. The crippled USB3 and SATA3 is not ideal but not a deal breaker. You'd probably be looking elsewhere for a high end gaming setup anyway.
I have never bought a Gigabyte mobo but this one does impress me. It has SATA3 and USB3.0 support so it is ready for future HDD and peripheral upgrades. The only thing that I don't like is based on Intel, LGA1156 is short-lived, but it cannot really blame on the mobo. You cannot ask too much for a ~$150 mobo about future-proof.

Overall a good Mobo But next time I would look deeper into buying a different Gigabyte Mobo Over this one. I like Gigabyte but this Mobo had to many negatives for me to buy it again. WORKS FINE, everything NECESSARY is on it but the IO plate Glitch REALLY annoys me.
I got my core i5 and my HD 5750 gpu and it installs realy well. Very good quality price. Has many usb ports. Gigabyte is what i'm looking for.

So I got this mobo to go with an i5 750 and a Radeon HD 5770 gpu....it installed very easily. Flashing the bios for an update to F10 was easy as pie, and with the dual bios feature, I wasn't worried about doing it. I used sbios for the update . I really have no complaints, lots of room for after market coolers around the cpu and memory slots. The only thing to watch out for is to make sure you know what rev. your mobo is. I thought I was buying a rev 2.0 when in fact mine was a 1.0. No big deal, but the update s are different and the list of supported memory modules is also different. I would recommend this to anyone building a slightly above mid-line multi-tasking computer.

Solid Board. Colour scheme is kind of funky but its fine. I have not had any problems with it yet. Used it in a friend's build. Used G skill 1.5 ram and i7 860. Have not tried over clocking. Everything worked from the get go without any hitches. I disabled USB 3.0 and sata 3.0 in the bios.

Bought this three months ago when I was building my new rig. Works perfectly with my i5 750 using the lga1156 socket. Nice price point, excellent for what I needed. Also glad that I'll be able to use usb 3.0 when that comes out.

First 30 days limited warranty through NCIX.com. The remainder of the 3 year warranty is provided directly by the manufacturer.
Currently Gigabyte accepts end users’ requests on RMA service. Motherboards, Video cards, servers and Rackmount server boards carry three years limited warranty.
Warranty Effective On Date of Manufacture
Gigabyte determines warranty based on the manufacture date. The manufacture date can be verified by the serial number found on the product. The first four digits after "SN" determine the year and week of manufacturing date. For example:
"01)04719331729028(21) SN0213030585" represents the 13th week of 2002
RMA Request Procedures and Guidelines
All RMA request forms must be completed in order to obtain a RMA number
RMA request with missing or incorrect serial number(s) may result in a delayed process or a rejection of request
Any model discrepancy for received items may result in a delayed processing timeProducts received with no RMA number may delay processing or refusal (Gigabyte will not be responsible for items received without proper information)
No cross shipping or advanced replacements under any circumstances
Products will either be repaired or replaced at our discretion
Replacements may include new or refurbished products (Replacements will be for the exact or equivalent product)
Average turnaround time will be 2-3 business working weeks upon receipt (applies to quantities not exceeding 20 pieces)
If the information on your request varies from the actual item(s) received, RMA will be based on the actual item(s) received
RMA numbers will be valid for 30 days after issued date
Gigabyte will provide one way freight via UPS or FedEx ground free of charge
