I did a lot of research into mechanical keyboards currently on the market, and am very happy with my decision to purchase this product. I've used the original IBM model-M, and also owned the Unicomp mechanical keyboards (who now own the copyright to that IBM design).
This is an incredible keyboard. I've only been using it for a day now, but I'm glad I bought it. I instantly feel like a better typist, there's really something about the responsive feeling of a mechanical keyboard.
if you are looking for a elegant proffesional keyboard this is one of the highest tier mechanical keyboard along with the filco brand. it is pretty much no bs (no flashy lights no macros)and straight to business. every part of this keyboard is build with quality. in fact i chose this over black widow because the widow only has 6 keys roll over and the widow looks like a toy the more reviews i read lol...
also this thing is heavy like 4 pounds you can literally beat someone's head to death because this thing is hard and heavy like a brick

Absolutely fantastic. I had an old keyboard that was so loud my room mates forced me to buy a new one. However, I just didn't like the rubber dome keyboards. It just didn't feel right.
Great buy. Kind of expensive but that's what you get for buying a quality mechanical keyboard--not sure how much cheaper they could get. Lack of a wrist rest was annoying. I didn't realize how much I rested my wrist on the 1st gen G15 rest which I loved. It's like night and day compared to a rubber dome keyboard AND the keys supposedly last longer.

I've been using the Das now for a few months and really enjoy using it compared to cheap keyboards. It's my first mechanical, and I know I'd find it difficult to go back. Despite the name, however, it really isn't silent, and the glossy surface attracts fingerprints.

Bought that keyboard for gaming and typing. this is my first mechanical keyboard. I have to say wow that monster is day and night versus rubber made one. After some hours/days typing become really more intuitive due of the tactile feedback. Layout is exactly what I wanted. The absence of ghosting effect in gaming make it a premium choice for professional keyboard. My last keyboard g15had response problem whit simple and fast combo (a1/a2/a3) in RTS (starcraft). Never happened whit the DAS. happy i had chosen the silent version the noise level is ok.

I will never go back to a 'regular' keyboard again. There is a tactile click to the keys at their actuation point, aka the point where the keystroke is registered. It's subtle but makes a huge difference. You don't have to bottom out the key to register the keystroke like you do on a regular keyboard.
have been doing 3 hours non stop data entry and speed is better and more accurate. keys seem louder then advertised, I may have accidentally got a DASK3PROMS1 instead. regardless it works and i do not mind the sound. will refer to everyone.
