Pros
cheap, 4 cores, supports ecc memory
Cons
power consumption, old architecture
Summary
Used in a server, wanted to use ecc memory, this was the cheapest cpu available. Does the job, stays cool enough, and pretty fast. Not as low power as an intel chip or as fast, but perfect for my needs.

Pros
Stable, Quality/price
Cons
None
Summary
I use AMD for years and I never rem against a problem. Very ideal for everyday use, does not generate a lot of heat when the machine is pushed to the maximum. I probably buy another AMD very soon but a bit more powerful than it.

Pros
Cheap
Good for putting into an older motherboard (where supported)
Cons
Same old OEM fan and heatsink, but no surprise there.
Summary
Threw this into an old Asus M3N78-VM motherboard after updating the bios to support it. It replaced a Athlon 64 X2 5200+ in a HTPC that had some new life put into it with a new SSD boot drive and video card and is working like a charm. It feels like a whole new machine!

Unfortunately my aftermarked cooler on the 5200+ only supports up to 90 watt processors, this one is 95 so I have to use the stock one for now. It seems to be working ok, the fan is just a little louder. I didn't want to take the risk of overheating it, even if it is only over the rating by 5 watts. I plan to eventually upgrade the cooler.

Pros
Was lucky to get one that could unlock hidden 6MB L3 cache. Cheap.
Cons
none
Summary
Bought this on sale for $59. I was able to unlock the hidden 6 MB cache, making it a Deneb. I was also able to overclock it to 3.75 GHz, which was a bonus. Could've easily overclocked it to 4.0+ GHz if I put in a Hyper 212 Plus/Evo after market cooler. Using it mostly for gaming, surfing, email, and even school work. Just love it. It's the best bang for the buck value. Definitely recommend it.

Pros
good cpu I have had it for over 6 months now. does really good. does what i want it to do
Cons
I dont know but i think i could have lil bit more power. but could be just my graphics card bottle necking some games. since i have 5830 paired with a 5830 which i dont think is ideal setup. so reason proably going to upgrade to 1100t
Summary
best for budget gaming rig. I play most games combined with 5830 in max settings. some not cause simply cant handle some games on max like assassin creed II. dirt 3 run max out which is pretty nice with directx 11!

Pros
Fast for its price.
Cons
The stock cooler needs to be replaced immediately! It's horrible..
Summary
Pretty good cpu for a budget build with Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3 970A motherboard bundle.
I have a i7 2600k and it's like seeing what the other side of the fence is like lol. For office work and just average gaming this is holding up.

Pros
-$99 Quad core you cant go wrong
-Can be oc to 3.7ghz easily with after market cooling
-Handless anything I through at it
Cons
-No L3 cache
Summary
Picked this up on sale for $99 for a budget build, its a quad core for only $99 you really can not go wrong with that price-performance it does pack a good punch with some small oc tweaks. Handles 1080p play back and could play battlefield 3 on med with good FPS. Would recommend to people who are on a budget.

Comment: The Athlon-II X4-640, with its 45nm process and somewhat low TDP of 95W, is an excellent overclocker

Comment: The clock increase from previous models in the same series returns very predictable benchmarking results.

Comment: The II X4 640 performs well, considering its affordable price point. Generally speaking, the Athlon II X4 640 processor was outpaced by Intel's latest dual-core, the Core i5-661, but AMD's new offering is significantly less expensive.
