Features:

The "Rev. 2 ICY VISION" cooler contains 5 power heatpipes in a unique heatpipe constellation. The heatpipes are interlaced into 85 optimized high-quality Aluminium fins. Together with a flat stack fin soldered Copper base, they enable the most efficient heat transmission and dissipation from GPU core in its class. Besides the heatsink, two 92mm UV-reactive fans with 11 blades in S-shape generate 20% additonal air flow than traditional fans. The fan contains a high-quality ball bearing to ensure a longer lifetime in high temperature environments.

Pros
Two large 92MM Fans
Overclocking able.
fit in most graphic cards.
Cons
screws don't work exactly with my graphic card.
not as quiet as I hope, but way quieter then my stock HS on load.
Summary
I replace my quadro 4000 stock heatsink with this one, quadro stock fan is crappy, its inefficient and very loud. I did some test on the temp for this cooler, here they are.
quadro 4000:
temp may vary in diffrent room tempurature.
with stock heatsink
idle 53c fan speed 62(very loud)
room temperature 15
3D app Bench(SPECviewperf)- max temp 81c
with icy vision
idle 38c fan speed 36(reasonable noise level)
room temperature 15
3D app Bench(SPECviewperf)- max temp 47c
SPECviewperf test it drop  my temp 34c in diffrence.
not very happy with the screws that it clams to work with
quadro 4000 card, but its doable.
Overall I like this cooler, recommend for people that are
in the same situation as me who hated the q4k stock heatsink.

Pros
Full copper cold plate. Good design. Good looks. All hardware included (minus screwdriver). Great performance—delivers what it claims.
Cons
Provided instructions lack detail. Fan connector does not connect to GPU onboard fan header (on HD 6850). Not PWM.
Summary
I've had heating issues with my aging PowerColor Radeon HD 6850, especially through the summer days. On one of the cooler days through the recent heatwave (ambient of 27-30C), it would idle anywhere from 47 to 51C that I recorded. Under load, running FurMark's burn-in test, temps would shoot up to the 90s within forty seconds, and I would usually abort the run because the temperatures didn't seem to plateau. One time I let it run for exactly 2 minutes, and the temp was 102C. (I highly do not recommend doing that.) It even got up to similar levels running CineBench's OpenGL benchmark.

So now I have this Gelid Icy Vision Rev. 2. (Yes, the product on this page is Revision 2. Check the product number.) I'll say now: This was such a good investment.

The packaging doesn't provide much information about the product, but it was really easy to open, which is a huge plus for me since at first impression I thought it was one of those "clamshell" plastic packs. All hardware is included except for a screwdriver, which is convenient. Although the provided thermals pads and heatsinks are compartmentalized into their own little plastic baggies, all of the screws, standoffs, and nuts (34 in total) are all in one bag together. The instruction pamphlet lacks detail, which I think is a little iffy for a "universal" cooler.

In spite of less than stellar instructions, installation is pretty straightforward: remove the old cooler, clean the dies, attach heatsinks, attach backplate, apply TIM, piece together, tighten, and have a beer. I know some people have issues with the thermal pads when attaching the VRAM heatsinks, but I can't comment on the quality or efficacy of the thermal pads since I didn't even use them. I had some Arctic Silver Alumina thermal adhesive, so I mixed very small batches (with a bit of Arctic Cooling MX-2 that I've had sitting around), applied some to the corners of the dies, then sat the heatsinks with light pressure while keeping that pressure for up to a minute.

Also, if you have an HD 6850 and are reading this, the fan cable couldn't connect to the GPU onboard fan header because the connector is a different size. I don't know how many other 6850s or video cards in general this would apply to. I just connected it to a 3-pin (Note: This is not PWM) header on my motherboard.

I would also like to note a few things about my PowerColor 6850. When I removed the shroud, there was way, way too much thermal grease on there. It was all over the entire heatsink's coldplate and about 3mm at eyeball measure thick throughout. There was an imprint left in the TIM from the GPU die, and the coldplate still wasn't visible at the bottom of the imprint. Also, there was some kind of tape or high-viscosity glue stuck onto one of the direct-touch heatpipes, the kind of stuff you would find in some kinds of packaging. It reminded me of 3M restickable clear mounting tape, and even a little bit of that tack glue thing holding packages of Oscar Mayer lunch meats together but thicker. Horrible QC there, PowerColor. No wonder my temps were so high.

Anyway, enough of my rambling. This GPU cooler from Gelid works wonders. It dropped my idle and load temperatures significantly. I haven't run a burn-in test to find a "true" max load temp because I'm still changing some stuff in my case, but here are some temperature comparisons from FurMark's 1080 benchmark preset:

PowerColor Stock (ambient 24-26C)
Min.: 47-51C
Max.: 98-101C

Gelid Icy Vision Rev. 2 (ambient 23-25C)
Min.: 34-38C
Max.: 75-77C

Great improvement right there. I plan to run more tests once I'm done with all my alterations for my case.

One final thought I had about the product concerns the fans: According to product specifications, one fan has a ball bearing while the other uses a sleeve bearing. Why a sleeve bearing? We all know this thing is going to be mounted horizontally.

Pros
Great cooling, good price
Cons
Takes up an extra PCI slot, if that matters to you for SLI/Crossfire
Summary
I was kind of weary to try this after reading some reviews on the original Icy Vision, but it was a good price and got it anyway. Dropped my idle temps from mid 50*c to low-mid 40*c and temps during BF3 from low-mid 80*c to mid 60*c. Very happy with the performance!

Pros
build quality, cooling capacity, price vs accelero
Cons
no included vrm kit for 6970's
Summary
paired some swiftech copper heatsinks for the vrm cooling with this on a xfx 6970 rev.2 and it's perfect. idle temp has dropped from 48c to 33, OCx935mhz core 1.23v stock mem, load temps were 75-80c with the stock cooler hoovering away at 100db now load temps sit no higher than 52c. you can just barely hear these fans. just have to make sure you really clean off your memory and vrms for the thermal tape to work properly.

Pros
Funtastic cooler!Installed on a HD 4870 with no problems though it did take a bit of time! idle temps were 40-42 c,now they're at 35!Full load has not gone above 55 copmpared to 75,wow!Obviously you have other fans going, even with them turned off one has to strain to hear the Gelid, even at 100%.A must buy
Cons
The only real con for me was the sticky pads, now that I know that this unit really works well I will purchasing some thermal adhesive!
Summary
Great product, works awesome with the HD 4870!

Pros
Great looking cooler, way better than stock fan, 20 degree drop  in temperatures, VERY quiet compared to stock cooler. Fits on HD 6870
Cons
Had to bend the ends of the heatpipes to get it to make good contact with the GPU, BUT this was to be expected because my graphics card does not use a reference pcb.
Summary
This is a great cooler and I recommend it to anyone who is looking for a better cooling solution without going water cooled. This has dropped the idle temperatures on my xfx HD6870 by 10 degrees and lowered my gaming temperatures by 20 degrees!!! I used to get temperatures in the low 70s while gaming for long periods of time and now I get a max temperature of 54 while gaming non stop for 4 hours. This cooler has also allowed me to overclock my gpu MUCH higher I am currently running my gpu at 980 core clock with 1100 memory clock!!!!! This overclock gave me a substantial boost in performance and my temperatures are still lower.

Pros
Awesome performance
Good compatibility
Cons
Crazy regular price
Summary
This is a great, easy to install cooler that I'm using to cool on a pair of 5850's in the same system (final product takes up almost 3 slots it just barely fits). With the stock cooler they're very loud on load and the temperature reaches 85-90C. With the Icy Vision, they're in the low 80's with the fan turned down to almost inaudible levels!

My only complaint is the regular price, crazy (was $60, now $80?!?). I pricematched for under $30.
