Pros
Trackballs reduce repetitive wrist injury/pain
Don't have to constantly reposition it
Cons
Learning curve from moving from mouse to trackball
Some games difficult to master with trackball
Summary
I've been using using trackballs for over 10 years because mice started to give me pain in my wrist since I use computers at work all day and my main hobby is computer stuff at home.

It takes a while to transition from a mouse to a trackball, but once you get used to it, you won't want to use a mouse for day-to-day activities.

This is my second M570 as the right button started to get the dreaded unintended double-click that some Logitech mice get. I did take the trackball apart and modded the switch, but the travel ended up being too far. I'll keep the other one for a backup.

It's nice that it is wireless so that it keeps the workstation clean looking. I never noticed much lag in games because of it though. Some games can be awkward to get used to at first using the trackball, but after a while you get used to it.

Despite the switch problem, I still highly recommend using a trackball and this one in particular.

Pros
Very comfortable.
Satisfactory experience.
Cons
Buttons lack durability.
Needs to be cleaned everyday.
Wireless? Why? Mouse never moves.
Summary
My experience with the trackball was very positive at first. I quickly got used to controlling the pointer with my thumb and it removed the stress off my wrist. It was good for office usage, but it was harder to draw patterns in Photoshop or Illustrator.

For gaming it was decent for MMORPGs and I got used to it for other games too but it felt like a handicap in shooting games.

After a year the mouse clicks became faulty. For me it was the right click because of how often I move my camera in games with the right click. Other reviews have faulty left clicks so there seems to be a durability issue for that mouse. No rough or hard clicks was ever done to the mouse as I was aware of the issue. It still broke no matter how gentle I was with the mouse.

I had to clean the trackball every days. Maybe its because my thumbs sweats or oils after usage but ball gets slower and jams until I do that daily cleaning with a towel paper. Forget the Doritos your hand needs to be clean.

Wireless is completely useless for a stationary mouse. The latency is very minimal but can be felt on very fast actions.

Pros
- Easy to clean
- Battery lasts a couple months (four year old rechargables)
- fits right hand well
- Ball spins smoothly
Cons
- cleaning the bearing requires a tool and needs to be done every other week. Can't they design a bearing that self cleans?
- the Omron microswitches need contact cleaner applied after a year if the trackball is used daily.
Summary
I would have given this five stars, but the notorious omron micro-switch oxidation issue is a pain as the trackball needs to be taken apart to be returned to working status. This problem is endemic among all Logitech mice that use these omron micro switches, which is every one I have every owned.

Given that, I love this thing for how much easier it is on my arm and hand. Of course, I plan on trying out eye tracking (Steelseries) when it comes out in the fall of 2014, but trackballs are a good stop gap. I would have bought a left handed one if they made it as using your thumb is much easier on your hand, which rests over the entire mouse, then using your fingers to spin a ball.

Dump you mice, get this if you use your computer a lot. Our gaming clan made up of older gamers are all moving to these.

-ball is rather solid and does not wiggle
Cons
-it is definitely not a gamers mouse

Pros
Great Range, Incredible tracking, Great for ALL TYPES of applications, Love the Unifying feature, etc...
Cons
Little Large, Wish it had Bluetooth Support, Wish it was more portable, I also wish it had more button options available. Make 2 trackball options, one with limited design features, and one that get's closer to it's predecessor...
Summary
This is one of the BEST Trackballs on the Market, I wish though it was Bluetooth, and came more portable, Although I use this BOTH on my Laptop and Desktop, and avoid using any other mice... The only issue I have is: The Previous wireless edition had more additional controls, More Programmable buttons, I know that some people don't like that, but depending if I was playing a game, or wanted more mouse controls in the programs I was using, I liked that feature...

Pros
Finally found a mouse that has saved my wrist. The mouse itself works great, very customizable, great battery life, solid connection at distance from the computer.
Cons
Generally, with all trackball mice, the dirt from the fingers accumulate under the trackball. Need to clean the build-up out fairly often (I'm OCD with cleanliness of my mouse), but luckily it is designed for easy removal of the ball and easy access for cleaning. If you do this often the mouse will work like a dream. If you don't you might end up writing a negative review about the function of the mouse itself.
After 2 years of use the left click button is starting to malfunction. I'm starting to get double clicks with a single click. Pretty certain this is a hardware problem. I've started using the right click as my primary and all seems to be good. I'm chalking this up as ware and tear but thought I'd mention it.
Summary
I'm in love with this mouse. While I'm a little bit choked about the two year life I've gotten from it (using it for 4-8 hours pretty much daily), I'll definitely be buying it again. Ultimately, it's stood up to some pretty heavy use. Can't put a price on a healthy wrist, this mouse is worth every penny.

Experience: 3 Years
Pros
-Long lasting
-smooth feel
-customizable buttons
-better control then I've ever had with a traditional mouse
-takes up less room/no need for mouse pad
-good battery life
Cons
-would be better with a cord for fast paced gaming
Summary
I love the Trackball it blows regular mice out of the water. I swear even in games I'm able to pin point my targets much easier. The only qualms I have about it is the ball sometimes gets dirt on it which you need to rub off, and I would prefer one with a cord or a gaming version.

-Less desk space needed
-More precise if need be
Cons
-Getting used to
Summary
The build quality is solid. The mouse feels great but the learning curve is steep. Uses it for graphic design, it's great for photoshop.

Pros
None the mouse stopped working after 2 months
Cons
stopped working / bad customer support
Summary
Stopped working after two months, can't say that I really liked it or got used to it either. I wrote customer service at Logitech: "To be clearer, the trackball by itself isn't carrying the command to the "reader" but if I remove the ball and move my finger inside (where the trackball goes) it does move the cursor but replacing the ball in nothing happens. At first, I just noted it was becoming slower (the cursor movement) so about a two weeks ago I remove the trackball to clean inside as it had some dirt. Two days ago it became again very slow, so I remove the ball but everything looked cleaned so I replace the ball and now nothing happens. The mouse is 2 months old." Here they decided to send a blue ball against which I replied "My mother received the ball yesterday and will be forwarding it to me where I am traveling at the moment. Although it left me with some doubts as I fail to understand how a ball will make it works... Does it have something special inside? Hopefully it won't be in vain." I never heard from them again... 24$ postage down the drain since the new ball my mother sent me obviously did nothing. I was expecting more service after paying over 70$ for a mouse! Product wise I hope it was an isolated case since I've owned in excess of a dozen mice and keyboards from Logitech and never had a problem before, so overall I would say usually good products but a bad first customer support.
