Pros
Excellent cooling - At Stock settings, with Full CPU Load, the temp
Visually Appealing - Looks amazing, the Red LED is subtle, rather then bright and blinding
Quiet - I have read reviews of this being a little bit loud, but even when the CPU is at 100% load my case fans are louder then the CPU fan.
Cons
Large Size - You will not get this is a small case. I have a Mid Sized Tower and there was not a lot of wiggle room.
The Large Size made it difficult to install so beware.

Possible Con - Non Removable Fan. The fan cannot be removed or replaced so if it wears out, the whole CPU coller would need replacing.
Summary
I read many reviews before I decided to purchase the Zalman CNPS9900MAX-R. The cooler was on sale for 44.99 which is a great deal, but I would buy it even at Full Price.

It is quiet, does an awesome job of cooling, and looks good. I am now thinking of putting a Clear side on my PC case just to show off the Zalman Cooler.

I am using it for keeping an Overclocked CPU cool and it works wonderfully. At Full Load my CPU stays at 56 Degrees Celsius. At Idle, just over 20. This is on a FX 6300 overclocked to 4.6 ghz.

Computer Specs:

Antec GX 700 Case
Asrock 970 Extreme3 R2
AMD fx-6300 Overclocked to 4.6
8GB Ballistix 1600 Ram
Sapphire R9 270
Seagate 600 240GB SSD

Pros
- Nice looking heatsink/fan
- Very good heat dissipation
- Fan shoots directly into the rear exhaust fan!!
- Compatible with a wide variety of socket/CPU, from older to newer
- Easy to clean with air blower
Cons
- Dim LED
Summary
I have been using this heatsink for quite awhile, on my LGA775 (Core2Duo E6600 g 2.4ghz) in my Antec P160W. Despite the Antec being a midtower, it fits like a charm, leaving up to half an inch between the top of the heatsink and the side panel/side window.

I will also be using it in my new build with an LGA1155 (Core i5 3570k g 3.4ghz) in a Thermaltake Element V. No question, it fits perfectly inside a full tower.

The installation is ok. With older cases, you might have to completely unscrew the motherboard from the case in order to install the backplate. If you buy an aftermarket heatsink, you probably know what you're doing. In any case, be sure to know what you're doing when you install the heatsink and carefully follow the instructions.

Compared to the default heatsink, it's a beast. It's probably not the best out there, but it does an awesome job and it doesn't disrupt the airflow inside the case (as the default heatsink push the air INSIDE the heatsink instead of pulling it outward - dust issue is horrible after sometimes). PLUS, it takes all the heat of the CPU and the direction of the fan makes it shoot directly into the rear exhaust fan. It's a nice air flow from the front to the rear of the case.

The heatsink itself looks pretty nice and the red LED adds a cool look to it. Although, if you have other red LEDs inside your case or any other color of LEDs (from fans or LED strips), you might not see the light from the heatsink's fan as it's too dim.

Pros
Cools the computer consistently.
Cons
- Loud
- Red LED is not bright enough.
- Installing is a pain.
Summary
Purchased it when it was on sale. This fan kept my computer under 40 degrees when gaming and below 30 degrees when idle consistently, which is great. But I had many problems with it, such as the fan being too loud, that its even louder than my stock fan, only able to see the red LED light in the dark, and having to need more than 2 people to install the fan into the case due to its size and shape.

Pros
cooler cpu
able to overclock higher
looks cool
Cons
a pain in the a** to install
some may find it loud
Summary
I bought this after owning my current build for a year and a half. I regret not getting a cpu cooler sooner as my i5 2500k temps would easily get to the 90C's with the stock cooler and a 4.2GHz overclock. Buying this cooler on sale for the same price as a Hyper 212 was worth it as I was able to get a stable OC of 4.5GHz with the cpu temp maxing out at 76C with Intel Burn Test and using 1.38V (I got a "bad" i5 2500k cpu). I tried desperately to install this cooler without removing the motherboard, but that was simply not possible. I have five case fans as well as the fans on my video card, and this cooler is by far the loudest fan in my system, even louder than the stock cpu cooler. I have not tried to use the "fan reducing speed" attachment though, but I would imagine that would cut down the volume somewhat.

Pros
Would be nice if I could install and try it out
Cons
Does not fit on AMD MOBO
Summary
I couldnt install it on Gigabyte 990FXA-UD3 MOBO. Faulty brackets and screws are too short. AMD users need to do research for this cooler. I give it 1 star.

Comment: "The end product fails to achieve parity with even an average 120 mm fan tower cooler. Its price is also high given its performance, US$65~$70 at most online retailers. We can't recommend it unless there are no alternatives and/or you require a shorter cooler."

Comment: Decent review. Compares a slightly overclocked i7 920 to a few other coolers. Comes within a couple degrees of the Noctua NH-D14!
