Pros
- Fully modular.
- Quiet.
- Made my Corsair.
Cons
- None.
Summary
This is my first fully modular PSU and I'm loving it. I recently put together my second gaming tower and wanted a smaller power supply as I'm not planning on going for SLI/CrossFire setups anymore. The power supply itself along with included accessories are very nicely packaged. The cables are all nice and black. You won't find those ugly colored sleeves as with most non-modular units. Overall it's been handling my setup great.

As we speak it's running my overclocked 3570K, H80i, overclocked GTX 670, 16GB memory sticks, 2 storage devices and MSI Z77A-GD55 without any issues.

Pros
Fully modular
Gold certified
Cons
Not enough to run SLI/crossfire
Expensive
Summary
I am loving this PSU so far. Being fully modular as its advantages. If I plan to replace or RMA it in the future, I can easily just unplug everything and take it out, and install a new power supply without tearing down all my cabling!

Too bad this isn't strong enough to run sli/xfire. Though I do not really mind as I never plan to. Instead, just aim to upgrade to a single better GPU in the future.

You are paying a premium though for the modularity and the gold certification. But you definitely get what you pay for with this PSU!

Pros
- Corsair quality
- Very nice finish
- Modular PSU
- Nice packaging and accessories
- Very quiet
Cons
- None
Summary
I wanted a modular PSU for my new build and 650W was more than enough for my build. The AX650 looks great in my case and I haven't had any problems. I've always been a big fan of Corsair PSU's.

Pros
-Very silent, it's nearly impossible to hear the fan when putting my fair the back of my case where the PSU air exhausts.
-80 plus Gold is darned efficient
-Backed by a 7 year warranty so it says on the box, longest I've ever seen
-Modular cables, fully modular right down to even the power connector to the motherboard
-The 6 pin connector cables for video cards has an extra 2 prongs lose to make it an 8 pin or 6 pin connector
Cons
-Instruction book is lousy
It's very difficult to see where to attach what cable at the back of the power supply as there are certain slots for certain connectors
-Included cables are very likely too short for anything taller than a mid tower ATX build
Summary
My system is a mATX and the shorter than Antec Earth watts cables is a very big plus for me. The cables aren't overly long a mid tower ATX system is about as big of a case you'd want this power supply in due to lack of cable length.

The biggest issue you will likely face is the initial install of the cables for what cable attaches into what holes. Not a major issue as certain cable types will only fit into certain holes. Look at the fine print on the cable ends to know which end connects to the motherboard. The instruction booklet might as well not be there as it is so useless.

If you know a bit about assembling computers and use some form of common sense the biggest issues aren't at all big for one I never needed an instruction book to install a power supply ever but a picture diagram could have been useful to make connecting the cables to the power supply an easierfaster task.

This is the most silent power supply I've ever had that actually has a fan. I've had and used a 500watt Antec True power, an OCZ 520watt, 650watt Antec Earth Watts, a 500watt FSP Forton unit and a Seasonic S12 650watt unit and this "Corsair Professional Series Gold AX650" is clearly the winner in silence.

Comment: Bottom line, if money is not an issue for you and you want to acquire one of the best mid-wattage PSUs on today's market, then the Corsair AX650 should be on top of your list.
