The MSI 990FXA-GD80 is a great motherboard for any AMD user. It has great performance for its class, and is extremely easy to navigate and overclock. In addition, its low price makes it a great buy. For its great performance for a good value, the MSI 990FXA-GD80 earns the Bjorn3D Silver Bear Award.
Don’t look for miraculous performance gains with the new 990FX chipset, but get ready for whole new CPU in the form of the FX Unlocked Bulldozer series, and complete flexibility in your choice of VGA configurations unlike you have ever seen before.

I absolutely LOVE this board!! After hearing all this negativity about MSI boards, I feel the exact opposite and have a flawless product. As stated in the "pros" the board layout is simply awesome. Plenty of well built power phases and, well, the entire board is just simply - put - OVERBUILT! This board has run perfectly since the first boot, bios upgrades are a breeze, the U-EFI bios is the easiest that I've ever used and I have also bouht the Fatality and Crosshair V 990 fx boards before this one. Had many more troublesome issues with those two. I would reccomend this board First to anyone although I'm yet to try the Gigabyte ud7.
