Experience: 3 Years
Dependable, low maintenance
A little slow
I got this over three years ago and put a couple cheap 1TB drives in, and the little guy is still going strong. One of the benefits is you can take advantage of the "fun_plug" scripts to run all sorts of software on it like web server, FTP server, or version control system. It can feel like copying a large file takes forever, but I do regularly stream HD videos from it over a wireless network and it is very rare that it has any hiccups. Newer products have taken its place, but if you can find an old one used it would be a great choice to save yourself some money instead of buying a brand new NAS.

Experience: 1 Years
Very cheap when on special. Supports 3 TB, pretty easy to use. Works well with all DLNA devices (mine anyways), can be modified with custom software (didnt use it)
Very long to transfer files to it. Does not restart after power failure.
Got this little marvel for Christmas last year and I love it. Put a seagate 2tb and a WD green 2 tb and had no problems with either. I mainly use it for a DLNA server to watch movies all over the house from other computers, Xbox 360 and LaCie LACinema mini and it works like a charm even with multiple (4) simultaneous viewings.
Configured the FTP server to use from outside and it works well too, although a bit complicated to configure. Just now playing with the ITunes server to centralize all our music. Never used the backup feature so I cant comment on that, but for my use, this device is simply astounding.

great looking
cheap faceplate
The device works pretty well however it does have problems with older drives otherwise it works very well however the faceplate is cheap and it basically a sticker/plastic

Experience: 3 Weeks
Good build quality
Great build quality, easy to set up, highly recommended

Experience: 2 Months
Fast and keeps data safe
Only 2 drives.
I have 2 WD green 2TBs inside and it performs well for graphic design.

Experience: 8 Months
reliable, inexpensive, standardized, third-party app support
could still be faster, 4 bays would be nicer
There are fancier NAS enclosures around, but for the money, it's hard to beat the D-Link DNS line. In my rough tests, the DNS-325 came up about 2-3 times faster than the previous DNS-323, mainly courtesy of its faster processor. Drives from the DNS-323 popped right in and worked. I'm still waiting for the new firmware that will add support for 3TB drives, but it's already available in beta form (Oct. 2011), so I'm not worried. The best thing about the DNS line is its solid reliability. My DNS-323 outlasted several fancier servers, and the DNS-325 looks even better. A great way to add storage without breaking the bank.

Faster than DNS-323
GUI is a bit slow
Good for home network storage solution, or for data sharing, media streaming, and backups.

Simple of usage. Supports 3GB Drives

Experience: 14 Days

Amazing thing, keep all my backups and other data which I need in a safe place. 2 hdds in RAID 1 and I'm sure everything is saved.
Now it is cheaper then I bought it... I'm envying :)
For sure must have! Easy to use, supports large hard drives and has another useful features which I don't use for now. Maybe later. All my pc's at home are able to get shared files from one place.

Experience: 10 Days

cheap, reasonably fast, easy to use, excellent value for the money
cheap, limited feature set
Excellent value and a very good replacement for my USB drive plugged into my router's USB port. Cheap in every sense of the word. Word like a charm, took 30 minutes to set up and everything. Annoying seeing how cannot access one drive while the other one is being formatted - in Standard mode. Didn't try any of the "apps". I can reliably see it as a mapped drive and it is fine for now. No fancy features at this price.

Comment: Recently we have only been paying attention to professional rack-mounted SMB storages with function of mounting multiple discs. However, today we decided to make an exception and review a double-disk NAS D-Link DNS-325.

Comment: D-Link's ShareCenter 2-Bay Network Storage NAS has average performance, poor third-party apps, and a hefty price tag. However, thanks to a stunning interface and hiccup-free testing, it's a decent consumer NAS option.
