Summary I was searching for my shield and tablet a mouse to play and do internet. Very good choice, easy step to match Bluetooth mouse. DPI it very usefull when you play game! recommand for the price, very cheap!
Pros nice little mouse lightweight decent battery life
Cons doesn't come with bluetooth dongle
Summary I picked up this neat little mouse for use with my laptop that I also got from NCIX. Works like a charm, have only had to change the batteries once or twice after almost 3 years. Not heavy and has extra buttons for smoother web browsing and optimized gaming!
Pros Comfortable Nice size Wakes up quickly 2 DPI settings Nice rubber grips Tracks well. Laptop wakes it up when turned on quite quickly. Has separate forward/backward buttons Looks good - similar to Logitech products
Cons Side buttons for fwd/back are located a little too far back on the mouse. On/Off switch feels a little cheap
Summary Overall I really like this mouse. The size is about perfect for my laptop use. I wanted a bluetooth mouse to free up my USB ports and this does the job very well. I've had great luck with Gigabyte products in the past including motherboards and video cards so I was pretty confident I would like this product - and I DO!! Don't know about battery life yet but I'm sure it will be fine. I've got lots of Eneloop AAA's Ni-Mh batteries so not too worried about battery costs. All in all - a great little mouse which I am very happy with.
Pros Plug & Play. Bluetooth functionality is good.
Cons Low Battery Life (2 months) Useless side buttons Looks ergonomic, but does not feel like it.
Summary The Duracell batteries just died on me after 2 months of average use (I did turn it off when not in use). This is less than the 3 months advertised.
The side buttons are awkwardly positioned and hence useless. Any time I try to press them, my index finger will twitch and inadvertently hit the left mouse button :( This may or may not be true for others depending on hand size. The sides (thumb and pinky grips) are curved too far inward. They would be more ergonomic if curved outward, especially the pinky side. This mouse is definitely better for SMALLER hands.
The Bluetooth works fine. Just plug and play. There are rare instances of freezing (usually fixed by pressing button beneath mouse OR turn off/on).
I have adjusted to this mouse these last 2 months and would say that it is average. The Bluetooth is a nice convenience. The battery life is disappointing.
Pros Plastic carrying case, 5 buttons, simple setup, long battery life
Cons No DPI customization
Summary I had been using Logitech M510 mouse with my laptop. Although its USB dongle is very small, it took up one of three USB ports on my laptop. I had been looking for a bluetooth mouse for a while, and Razer Orochi was tempting but it was more than I was willing to spend. There were others, but they were all missing the side buttons (back and forward), which I must have.
This mouse was on sale for CAD$25, and I decided to bite.
As soon as I opened the box, there was a pleasant surprise, a plastic carrying box. There are other mouses that comes with a cloth pouch, but when you are carrying the mouse around in a bag with other cables and things, pouch doesn't really protect the mouse. This plastic box is bulky, but it has a nice foam padding to hold the mouse in place. The mouse fits tightly into the foam cutout and I can shake the case really hard and the mouse is not getting knocked around in the case.
Obviously, it is a laptop mouse, so it is small, about the same size as other laptop mouses like Logitech MX Anywhere. It has rubber paddings on either sides to help with the grip and the side buttons on the left side is well-positioned. The buttons do not feel as solid as Logitech MX Anywhere, but it works fine. There is a DPI toggle button below the scroll wheel, and it can be clicked to switch between 800 and 1600 DPI. Unfortunately, there is no program/driver from Gigabyte to customize the DPI settings.
Pairing with my laptop (Thinkpad X220) was simple and never had an issue with connection. If the mouse has not been used for a minute or two, it is going to take a second for the mouse to start working again. Laser tracking works fairly good on most surfaces, except glass. It uses 2 AAA batteries for power and it is advertised to last 4+ months. I shall see.
I love the mouse. If I need to, I can use my Razer Diamondback for gaming. But, when I am on the road, this mouse is almost perfect. Obviously, if you are looking for a full-size mouse, look elsewhere. But, if you want a well-priced, 5-button, bluetooth mouse, this is it. AND it comes with a nice carrying case to boot.
Pros Small/Compact Light/2xAAA batteries Easy to setup Price
Cons Slightly difficult to hold Slightly difficult to use thumb back/forward buttons Must have BT receiver on your PC already
Summary It is basically the cheapest bluetooth mouse with 5 buttons. Other BT and Wifi mice in this range don't have as many features or look very uncomfortable to hold due to their gimmicky shapes. (I'm looking at you, SONY) It doesn't come with its own BT dongle, but those are cheap and most decent laptops/netbooks will come with one.
It's fairly small and compact, but still quite chunky due to its height. It is a bit hard to hold, in part due to its size, but mainly due to how glossy the shell top is. It does not have much surface area to grasp, due to its size, but the limited area you can grasp is very slick. You are sort of forced to pinch the sides with your thumb and ring finger, while your index and middle finger just slide right off the top buttons.
Speaking of buttons, the thumb buttons are actually quite hard to hit. Your thumb is already pinching the mouse, so you need to give up moving the mice in order to hit the thumb buttons. Now, this doesn't seem so terrible at first, but, as it turns out, the thumb buttons are also _recessed_. This makes it doubly difficult to use them. Again, the LMB and RMB are very slick. They are also at such an angle that your fingers slide off when trying to depress them. Thankfully, the scroll wheel and MMB is very easy to use.
It is better than a trackpad. There is clearly room for improvement, however the same can be said for virtually all other compact BT mice.
In fact, I have not seen a single compact BT mouse that looks remotely usable, ever, so you might as well buy this one, with more buttons.
Summary I bought this mouse based on the ability to tilt the scroll-wheel sideways. It turns out that the mouse couldn't do that. Other than that, the mouse is pretty small (I guess that is normal for notebook mice). But the small size caused the forward and back button to be hard to use. It would be better if those side buttons were built vertically instead of side by side. This will make thos buttons easier to click.
Bluetooth® 2.1 +EDR wireless technology supports adaptive frequency
hopping, and its 79 channels allow faster, more stable connection,
and a satisfying working range up to 10 meters.
GIGABYTE Accurate Laser Tracking System
Equipped with GIGABYTE accurate laser tracking system, the mouse is
so responsive and easy to control. When you are using the mouse, you
will find it as smooth as it is engaging.
800/1600 On-the-fly DPI Adjustable
You may adjust DPI sensitivity anytime you want to by simply
clicking DPI-adjusting button on the mouse.
Internet Backward & Forward buttons
The side buttons near your thumb are the internet backward & forward
keys. Use these keys when browsing web pages, and feel the
convenience brought by them!
Stylish Design and Comfortable Grip
M7700B stays true to one of GIGABYTE's core concepts - ergonomic
design. The mouse is designed exclusively for right-hand users.
Rubber grip topped it off with the extraordinary hand-feeling, that
is already more than satisfying to users.
When the battery is low, the low-power indicator would blink for 5
seconds, and then turn off.
