Since the release of our first mouse, we have been using Japanese-inspiration in our naming of them. Our mice are built for performance and tournament-style play; Ikari means anger, Xai means talent, and the list of product names goes on. The Sensei is our version of the grand-master in our Do Jo. It is the teacher. The one everyone bows to, the one who knows tricks and secret moves that everyone wants to learn - but so very few can ever hope to master. It's a fitting name. Master your game. Meet the Sensei.

Experience: 4 Months

Experience: 5 Days
Illumination is good, solidly designed and built, very precise and good feeling
buttons in the way over-sensitive
This mouse overall seems very well designed and built. However I have had issues with the aluminum body feeling slippery and getting sweaty after prolonged use. The rubber feet as well (keeping in mind they are rated to last just as long as the rest of this well built mouse) look and sometimes feel like they would be the first to quickly deteriorate, however after trying them on several surfaces they do maintain an impressive glide and minimal scratching even on harder surfaces.

The one major issue with no redemption that I have noticed is the 4 side buttons. With use in either hand the buttons seem easily clicked, and while they can be disabled, remind me of more cheaply made mice. Overall I feel going with the slimmer side buttons (unable to rest fingers on them unlike some larger yet more firm buttons) takes away from this mouse

Good Quality
Good Shape

Greatest mouse I've ever owned.

I'm a avid FPS player that's currently playing Counter-strike: Global Offensive and other FPS's. I perfected my mouse by tweaking almost every setting it had from exactlift to exactaccel. Although it can be expensive for some, I HIGHLY recommend saving up to get this mouse. And hey, you can make your own little picture and display it under the mouse!

Mouse react quickly, nice design
I often missclick the right side button (it's an ambidextrous mouse). Steelseries got major issues with them software.
The mouse is very good, but even after 2 month, I can't use it to it's full potential has Steelseries have no drivers for Windows 8.1 (even if it has been release today). When you install the drivers for Windows 8 on Windows 8.1, it litteraly "broke" Windows files (C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\steelbus64.sys block Windows 8.1 from booting). It's a major issue and Steelseries know this from june 1st and still no new release of the software yet.

Since I had these problems (Had to format my PC 3 times while testing different things), I'm going to give a 3 star rating.

Experience: 7 Days
Hyper customization, sleek, ambidextrous, good number of fully programmable buttons (7), On board ARM CPU.
Overall the best gaming mouse I've ever owned. The customization is like nothing else. Due to the fact it has an on board CPU, all profiles and settings are stored in the mouse itself, as well as taking away some (very little) but some of the processing from your main CPU for calculating mouse movements. There is an LCD screen on the bottom, in which you can fully customize everything about the mouse (As well as UI software for when you're actually in windows/not in a game, but the LCD is a very nice touch as you can adjust on the fly.
Cpi is a more efficient method of measurement than DPI, making for a more accurate mouse.
I can go on and on, I would recommend this mouse to almost anyone; with the exception being people building on a budget.

Experience: 1 Years
-Aluminium Top
-Customizable lighting
-Adjustable CPI
-Awesome tracking
-A bit too big for myself
-Side buttons
Overall, this is the best gaming mouse that I have ever owned. I had first a razer mamba, which didn't have as good as tracking and had a slight delay. I had tried the Razer imperator after that, but it kept dying after extended clicks. I couldn't stand razer at that point, so I had gone with steelseries; no regrets at all. The tracking is leaps and bounds ahead of the razer mice, and the aluminium case gives it a nice cool touch. This mouse is a bit too big for my hands, and the side buttons are annoying when I hit them with my ring finger and my middle finger. Besides that, this mouse is a must!

- Feels amazing
- Looks very nice
- nice glossy finish
- good customizability
- amazing software
- expensive
- doesn't feel very solid
Overall I extremely enjoy the purchase I made for the sensei mouse. Although it is very expensive if you are able to snag it for 40-50$ I would highly recommend getting it.

-Really Comfortable
-Fully Customisable
-Really High Dpi
-Excellent for claw and palm Grip
-The Mirror Look
I was looking for something classy and comfortable and this mouse give it to me! I recommend it for those who want a styli and good mouse.

Experience: 13 Months
Great Precision. Plenty of buttons. Very responsive
Right mouse button stopped working after 1 year of use.
I bought this mouse because I am a MOBA player who wanted to take his game to the next level. This mouse accomplished that for 1 year, and now I can't even play minesweeper with this piece of overpriced junk because the RMB doesn't work. I tried taking it apart in an attempt to fix it because the warranty expired a month ago and failed to see anything wrong with it. Since there is no way of doing so without removing the tracking pads, the mouse now grinds across my mouse pad instead of glides the way it used to. DO NOT BUY THIS MOUSE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BUY A NEW ONE EVERY SINGLE YEAR BECAUSE IT'S STRUCTURAL INTEGRITY IS GARBAGE!!!

$49.99 (HOT Price)
Multi Color LED
Braided Cables
LCD Display
SteelSeries Engine Customization
SteelSeries Engine did not recognize until manual driver update
Occasionally mouse does not connect during boot up
(Works fine after you replug the USB)
Got it on Black Friday for $49.99. At that price it's hard to beat, with all of it's customization that the SteelSeries Engine brings, along with multi-color LEDs and a LCD display that you never see on any other mouse. I have a cloth mousepad and it glides very smooth, but it's also a bit on the light side for my taste.

Despite some software glitches, I'd still recommend this mouse if you can find it on sale.

Comment: Today we have the latest SteelSeries mouse attached to our system. The Sensei has a familiar look and feel but this masks some impressive component upgrades inside such as one of the most precise gaming sensors we have ever tested... powered by a CPU as powerful as the original Pentium. Comment: One of, if not the best mouse to come through our doors was the SteelSeries Xai. Steel Series isn’t a company that normally just pumps out new products unless there is a need. But how do you follow up with a perfectly balanced, no frills gaming mouse with such a good reputation? For starters you try

Comment: It’s amazing to think that we once all gamed with a rollerball mouse. Then most of us transitioned through optical, eventually ending up utilising either infrared or laser based rodents. Today I’m looking at one of the latter, a new gaming peipheral from Steelseries, the Sensei. It sits at the hi

Comment: The product we have on review today is one such item, the SteelSeries Sensei Pro Grade Gaming Mouse. Like all of SteelSeries’ mice, they are inspired by Japanese such as the Ikari (Anger) and the Xai (talent). As the name suggests, the Sensei is the very best, the ‘teacher’ in the dojo of mice. It’s
