Pros Well made Great crystal clear sound Awesome 5.1 Control center Dual sound-profile Build quality Price (!)
Cons No for now, time will tell (my old TurtleBeach Z6A broke after 6 month) Maybe, become little bit uncomfortable for long game session
Summary For now, very satisfied ! I'll update later if needed... The souns quality is awesome compared to my old TurtleBeach Z6A. Now I ear some sounds in Borderlands 2 I never though exist with my Z6A. It's a great headset, seems very well made. The sound control is nice, I like the way it manage main volume of the sound card. The bass is very effective, so much the first time I start a movie with high bass I jumped, I think someone touched the headset on my head ! A great headset with true 5.1 !
Pros Excellent quality, great sound, comfortable, loud.
Summary This is a great headset. The sound is astounding if you pair it with a decent 5.1 sound card and play with the settings a little. I had issues using this headset initially with my ancient Audigy2 (loud noises/hisses in games, friends complaining about mic quality/static, Tip'n'Control not working properly) so I purchased an ASUS XONAR DG on sale which cleared up all my issues and gave me better control over the sound (EQ, effects, LFE crossover, etc...) While I had issues with the headset initially, the headset itself was not the cause of the issues so did not mark as a con.
Pros Clear Great Bass Control Pad Mute and Lights Wow Wow Wow
Summary By far the greatest headset I've ever owned highly recommend this to anyone looking for great quality sound for gaming or even watching movies. The Tip N Control is amazing with all the features and capabilities!
Pros Great sound, compact, durable, solid, good noise cancellation, great mic
Cons head band is terribly uncomfortable, kind of heavy.
Summary Great headset, the sound is fantastic. Im no audiophile, but it sounds great in games, friends all say Im almost TOO clear on mic now. The mic does pick up pretty much everything, as well, but I dont use push-to-talk in games so of course it will pick up everything. THe ear-piece pads are pretty thick and block out all other noise, which may or may not be a good thing considering you can barely even hear a knock at the door to your computer room. My only real complaint is that the pads on the headband are not nearly padded enough, so combined with the weight of the headset it really starts to dig into your head after a while. I've foudn myself putting a facecloth or such between the headset and my head just for the added padding.
Pros Amazing sound and i find the positional audio is wonderful in games and switching over to the movie setting is just as great for films
Cons Takes a bit of time to tweak between your in line controls and Sound card options and controls to get them to there best. Can feel a bit heavy on the head at times.
Summary This is a great headset overall. Despite i had a defective unit and had to exchange them. that can happen even with the very best equipment. The sound quality on the Kave is great and the mic offers good sound quality as well. With a proper sound card these are wonderful and really make my gaming experiences much more enjoyable
Summary I bought these to replace an old set of Sony over ear headphones that were "decent" at the time I bought them years ago. I also have a 5.1 setup but rarely use it due to sleeping kids / wife.
Right away these were an improvement, the sounds were noticeably directional and vibrant. One note was I found I needed to increase my bass settings (not to max) but more important the treble needs to be cranked up. Stock bass and treble made for a muddy sound, lacking any crispness or reality to the world. It took some tweaks to get the right balance. Once adjusted and all the proper 5.1 settings activated in sound card and games it has been great, in BF3 it has saved me countless times now that I know where to turn!!! The first day I caught myself look over my right shoulder in real life when startled by an explosion. Furthermore I am hearing sounds my old cans didn't even transmit or were covered up by others.
Speaking of startled, these things keep the outside world sounds out! I'm used to being able to hear the sounds in the house vaguely but with these the Wife scared the crap out of me walking up behind me. I almost wish I could hear a bit to avoid that.
Overall, I looked at various headsets and considering I was 99% focused on gaming quality the true 5.1 coupled with my soundcard made this a very good pick.
Cons Uhh.... no mic volume on control or headset. Hit the Mute button,a dn teh ligth flashes on for a few seond, then goes back to normal always-on. Not a biggie. controlpod to PC cord is a bit short, but long for my needs. Price dropped another 10 bucks right after i ordered it :(
Summary I've only need using these for a couple of days. If any opinions change, I'll edit this review. I researched many TRUE 5.1 headsets. It came down to the Tritton PC510s, and these. Obviously, I chose these. Reviews are a little hard to come by, but the German Amazon.com had scads - so I read those - (well, translated). The most often complain ti rad was that the centre headband pad dug into your skull after a couple hours. I just finished a 5-hour session on BF3 and a movie, and i have no sore spots whatsoever - just a bit of clamminess where the earpads contacted my bare skin. They're a little heavy, but not too bad. They certainly sit snuggle and securely. I have a big fat head, too, and have the size markers se tat '8'. I asked my clan members on Teamspeak and they said my voice was clear and clean, and loud enough (mic input is at 80%, as I'm a mumbler) The mic mute indicator LED is a very nice touch. Mic Boom is removable and very flexible, and stays where you put it. I've never used other 5.1 headsets, so I cannot compare the positional audio. But it's good, as it's easy enough to tell when a guy is behind me. I also use 5.1 speakers which obviously give slightly better position, but this headeset still does a great job. I keep the rears a little louder. The control pod thing is excellent. heavy enough to stay put with the little rubber strips at the bottom. Not too large, and not too small. Volume wheel gives tactile and audible "click", and turn continuously. Huge, easy to slap mute button is great. Separate volume for Centre/Front/Rear/Sub is nice, and the sliders don't feel cheap, and are not to loose, or too stiff. They have the same grippy rubber that is on the volume ring. Bass is a bit lacking, but fiddling with my audio card fixed that right quick. The vibration works really well and it does seem like actual audio. And the earcups are spacious, and resemble drums. If you tap the outside, they make a nice deep sound, like a bass drum. This also allows for lots of earspace. No drivers required whatsoever. Just plug it in and go. Plug ends are long enough from splitter than i can plug the audio jacks in at the very bottom of my large case, and still plug the USB into the furthest port. No real complaints. Love 'em. Though with the good external noise cancelation, I'm not sure how loud i am talking.. The Movie/Game switch barely makes a difference.. the Movie settigns makes dialogue a little clearer, though not louder. Oh. Not the fault of the headset, but since i also use a 5.1 headset that uses the same audio jacks, I will have to gets 3 male-to-female 3.5mm extensions so I don't have to go to the rear of my PC to change it over. But after using them for a while, I'm not sure how much I'll use my speakers. Update: Okay after using it for a few days, i did indeed, get a sore spot where the centre headband pad rested. Taping 2mm foam on the side pads fixed it, so I glued them on. Now i hardly notice them on. Though I don't think this would be an issue for you folks without freakishly wide heads, as I have. I'm very happy with them and haven't connected my 5.1 speakers since plugging these in. THey sounded good using my onboard Realtek (the best one, btw), but they do sound better using my X-Fi running the PAX custom driver set.
Okay 9 months later and they are still super-awesome.

Pros great 5.1 sound definition, crystal clear! lots of bass, desktop sound control is nice option. comfortable.
Cons none so far
Summary Bought these to replace my Tritton AX Pro's that I've had for a couple yrs. great headphones but these Roccat's blow them away in just about every way, better definition, more bass, crystal clear, using a Creative Labs xi-fi sound card all I can say is WoW! worth every cent!
Pros -Surround sound works well -Controller is very convenient for equilizer and volume controls -Comfortable and fully adjustable
Cons -Bass is a little weak -Need to unplug my speakers everytime I use my headsets but it's no biggie
Summary Bought these to replace an old, cheap headset. Works very well and quite happy with the purchase. Bass is a little on the weaker side and the front channel was a bit over bearing but after some tweaks on my sound card equilizer and the built in eq on the remote, all is well. Haven't had much experience with the mic yet, but it does work from the little bit that I've used it. I would definitely recommend this for someone on a budget that doesn't want to dish out $200 for a pair of sennheisers, etc.
Imagine your advantage within the heat of the battle when you exactly hear where your opponents are before you can actually see them. Knowing the position of your enemy is half the frag. Realistic 3D surround sound makes you locate your opponents easily by the noise they generate. The desktop control enables you to adjust to situations quickly with sound and microphone mute buttons and volume control for different channels.
- Real 5.1 Surround sound with speakers aligned at a 12° angle - Microphone with mute LED fully rotatable and completely removable - Tip’N’Control desktop remote for central management of all volume functions - Dual sound-profile with movie and game settings - Solid aluminium hinges enabling heavy duty use - Hand-sewn comfortable earcups featuring external noise cancelling - Adjustable vibration unit for a realistic gaming experience - Headband with three pads for equal weight distribution - Easy to carry folding and compact design
