Pros Sturdy and quiet, not too deep. Classic looks. Front USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 connectors for motherboard header.
Cons The dedicated SSD emplacement is harder to use than it seems. No filter for top-mounted PSU air intake. PSU should be at the bottom.
Summary I wanted a smaller ATX case, especially in depth, because of space limitations in my home office. The Solo II fits the bill.
With a depth (lenght)of 470 mm (18.5 inches), the Solo II has the minimum dimension to ensure the HDD cage is not overhanging above the motherboard. This makes all connections easier.
The dedicated SSD emplacement is harder to use than it seems, as it is close to the front panel wiring. I finally decided to mount the SSD in the top standard HDD slot.
After a few weeks looking at the PSU sucking unfiltered air from the top, I have finally decided to go old school and reverse it so that it can draw filtered air from inside the case. It will also easier to clean with compressed air in that position, as the case top fan grille is non removable.
Eventually, Antec will have to come up with a Solo III that puts the PSU at the bottom.

Pros Looks great Better airflow and more space than first edtition SOLO (previous build) Well made Quiet One side panel damaged in shipping, Antec replaced this promptly
Summary I have just built a moderate gaming machine, very impressed with how quiet the setup is. Only running supplied case fan on low, installed two additional Nocua 12 mm front case fans. Everything is cool, but haven't tried overclocking yet. Love it.
New build: ASUS P8Z68-V Pro, i7 2600k CPU, Noctua U12P-SE2 CPU cooler, 8 GB Corsair Vengeance CL8 DDR3 1600, Intel 320 SSD 160 GB system, 2 x 1 TB WD Blue HDDs in Raid 1 Data, Creative Sound blaster X-Fi titanium, 2 x Noctua NF-P12 120mm front case fans, Enermax Modu87+ 800W PSU, Antec Solo II case, XFX HD6950 2 GB GPU.
Pros -Sexy, quality parts, tons of space for an over sized video card.
Cons -quiet, but not silent, blue light on the power button.
Summary This is a sexy case that shows class if you were to display it openly. This is the case of a gentleman, someone who might listen to Beethoven as he enjoys a nice pipe of his favorite herb while contemplating the universe. No need to worry about a noisy hard drive or case fan as this beauty runs quietly through the night, only the GPU is heard as a relaxing hum that can melt you to sleep after a dreary day of hunting polar bear and wolves.
The Antec SOLO II is an attractively designed case which will suit a wide audience of enthusiast user who hate glowing lights, pulsating logos and ‘eye catching’ gimmicks. It is a very stylish, well crafted chassis design that has been built to last and will look great in a living room environment.
