I can't even have these turned up half way or they get too loud and the bass annoys people upstairs. The sound easily fills are larger room.

Coming from the X-540, this set is ages and ages better. It's enough power to shake the whole house, but at the same time there is emphasis put on every part of the frequency band, not just emphasis on bass. The highs are crisp, the mids are bold and the bass is overwhelming. The remote and control unit are very easy to use. Lots of inputs and features you can change to get the best sound.

Upgraded from the logitech z5300 to the Z906,all i can say is that it was worth the money. The Z906 has LOTS of power, enough to make the walls shake, but also delivers QUALITY sound at the same time. I suggest changing the speaker wires to 16 gauge if you want to see a change in the sound quality, worth the investment. Overall this system is worth every dollar, logitech did it again with this wonderfull 5.1 speaker system.
