Background Garbage Collection is stunning on this drive, as was to be expected. The Marvell 9174 controller does an incredible job of maintaining performance in almost all conditions. Perfect drive for running RAID or for use with Mac or Linux based Operating Systems.

Those of you who were burnt on the early SF drives with firmware issues and swore the controller off for good will find a silver lining in the Performance Pro; you will just have to pay a little more for making that call.
The Marvell controller in this drive is truly a force to be reckoned with. It is known to be extremely reliable as well as blazingly fast. Corsair has made a very smart move here by using 512MB of DDR3 cache along with premium Toshiba Toggle NAND to give us a top notch SSD.

Product Warranty
First 30 days limited warranty through NCIX.com. The remainder of the 3 year warranty is provided directly by the manufacturer.
Corsair's DRAM memory modules all carry a lifetime warranty. The Flash Voyager, Flash ReadOut, TurboFlash, Flash Survivor and Mini Flash products all have a warranty for the expected normal life of the product (10 years). The Flash Padlock has a warranty of 3 years. The HX, TX, and VX Series of Power Supplies have a 5 year warranty, and Liquid Cooling products carry a one year warranty. In general, this means Corsair products are guaranteed to operate, as specified by their datasheet, and in the operating environment for which they were intended, for the life of the product or the extent of the warranty.
