"Even if this unit were labeled with its real wattage, it would still be a bad choice. Voltages drop below the minimum allowed, and noise and ripple levels can increase above the maximum allowed, causing your computer to behave erratically. Also, this unit presents low efficiency."

I bought this to replace a Corsair CX 400 because I bought a new video card that required a 500 watt ps. I thought being a 525 watt
It would do the job. It's not 525 watts, not even close. It says right on it, that its max power is 408 watts. The corsair says 360 watts with a max peak output of 400 watts. A difference of only 8 watts, not an upgrade. It would be good for a starter/budget build.
