Summary I didn't do the reaserch before I chose this one. I'm not saying Corsair make bad PSU, AX1200 is a very good PSU. cx series it's for budget. and if you search CX600 you could find many incidents. Mine was fine at first, but suddenly dead one day that I was actually doing nothing. I built my rig for only 11 months and their were 5 months I haven't used my computer.
anyway, if you think I was too bad luck and want a 600W PSU with lower price, just get it.
Summary I like corsair Power supply. The case of the power supply was open, i had to close it correctly. This is not enough to ask for a RMA or a change, but the screw space was messy because of this. Over that, it's working well.
Pros 1. Cool psu for gaming build. 2. Compactible with any gpu even gtx titan. 3. Uses less power consumption. 4. Proper sleve cover on each wiring. 5. Makes no noice on fan as its from silent series psu from corsair.
Cons 1. Cannot be used for crossfire or sli with 2 high end gpu's 2. Non modular.
Summary Have used this baby for about a year or so... . still no damage Runs silently for silent prefered gamers like me.
Pros reliable , never had a problem with a Corsair PS, good price
Summary I have built a few budget machines with this PS and never had an issue. Its not a modular PS but the leads are long enough for the builds I have done. Its quiet and I have yet to have a Corsair PS go bad.
Summary Power supply just died today, A year and a half of ownership, always admitted a whine from the start even when off. Really wanted to put together this build on a budget, I guess corsairs builders lineup is just a bit too cheap. Seemed like good build quality. Turned it on, a loud hum then a couple seconds later POP, a spark came from inside the unit and smoke out the back. Not too impressed.
