Experience: 8 Days

work fine and easy to upgrade with dd-wrt firmware
I love this low cost router. Work fine in dd-wrt and gigabit ethernet port at this price.

Experience: 5 Days

dual band, gigabit, easy set up
none so far
more than doubled my bandwidth for both wired and wireless compared to my old 11g router which was bottleneck. This router was chosen to be the best budget router by several publications.

Experience: 5 Months

Work well
Sometime the connection is limited but it rare.
Good product for the price, I reccommend it. (Good range for the price)

Experience: 2 Weeks

- 2 USB2.0 ports with all sorts of uses
- Two firmware updates in 2015 so far
- Their Quick Setup feature lets you set up your WiFi network(s) quickly
- Affordable
- Web interface is fairly easy to navigate
- Outdated firmware out of the box
- Glossy finish
- Wireless N
- Not the greatest range
The features in the web interface are well organized and easy to navigate, though I suppose it could be intimidating for an user who isn't as familiar with the settings. For those users, however, there is a quick setup tool that will help you configure everything you need to start using this product. Out of the box, the device had old firmware which can be easily updated by downloading the latest from TP-Link's website.
Signal strength and range have been good in a condo/apartment, but I have heard that some users experience weak signal strength in houses.
While this device uses the 802.11n wireless LAN standard, the newest specification is 802.11ac. If you're looking for a product that will last through several device upgrades (such as new smartphones or laptops since many current devices do not support 802.11ac), then you probably want to invest in an 802.11ac router instead. However, the 802.11n specification still delivers very good performance.
The glossy finish on the top of the router is unappealing to me, as it collects dust and fingerprints easily, but it really isn't a dealbreaker for a device at this price point.
Overall, I would recommend this router to anyone who has a budget of about $50 and will be using it in an apartment/small house.
If you have a little more to spend, TP-Link's Archer C7 router is fantastic for larger homes, offers a much improved user interface, and is 802.11ac to boot. The Archer C7 can be found on sale very frequently for less than $90.

Fast 5ghz
Great range on 5ghz
Have to update  firmware out of the box for best results
Bought this to replace the router provided by shaw. Have had no problems so far. Range is great off this router and the 5ghz network is FAST (and has a fantastic range). Can't speak to the 2.4 ghz network, there is too much wireless interference in my particular condo from neighboring units, however the 2.4g network does seem to work fine for the phones/tablets...

The firmware shipped with this router is quite out of date, I would highly recommend going to tp-link's website as soon as it's connected to download/update  asap...

Experience: 3 Days

Easy set up. Very affordable for a Gigabit router. Quick and strong signal.
Didnt make me dinner last night.
I was debating between the Netgear WNDR3700 (rev 4.0) and this router back in July. I went with the Netgear because of the larger amount of reviews. Spent more too. The router died last week, roughly 4 months in. Thanks Netgear! Anyways, so I went back to my other choice and bought the TP Link, and well although Ive had it for less time, so far so good. It was cheaper to buy too. I got the extended warranty just in case, but hopefully never need to use it. I usually dont get them, but thanks again Netgear!! That left me paranoid I have better feelings about this one though! Avoid Netgear!!!

Experience: 2 Days

-Good price
-Wireless N
-None so far
I appreciate this router. It is quite good.

Experience: 2 Days

Fast, 128Mo Ram, DD-WRT friendly
Wokring fine so far
I replaced my WRT320n running DD-WRT with this router after a recommendation by one of the main DD-WRT dev (Brainslayer). I installed DD-WRT 22118 right away without any hassle and it's work like a charm. Way faster than my older router. For a router with a good IC (Atheros instead of cheap Broadcom), good memory size (128Mo instead of standard 32Mo), at this price this is really a steal.

Experience: 30 Days

pretty fast and consistent
one bug
I had this product for 1 month and after 3 weeks of good use, the router bugged. but after a speek with tplink and a firmware reboot, it is just fine and should be ok. nice product not to notch but ok

Experience: 35 Days

-Working great at 5.0Ghz
-Reasonable long range
-Useless 2.4Ghz
-Takes about an minute to reset when saving router configuration
Bought this router as a replacement for my old Cisco wrt160n.
The initial setup of this router is quite simple, just follow the "quick setup" at the router's web interface and you should be done within 5 minutes.
The range is definitely better than my old router.
The 5Ghz wifi able to reach the furthest room with almost full speed, which my old router not even close in reaching that area.
The speed was almost maxed to my internet provider speed as well.
(Download 25Mb/s, Upload 12Mb/s)

However, the 2.4Ghz (Wifi b/g/n) is horrible.
It's worst than my old router and the connection is constantly dropping.
The network doesn't even let me join the network, or sometimes just disappeared off the list when I set it to wifi b/g/n mixed.
If I set it to wifi g only, I could join the network, but the speed is like old snail that can die anytime.
The 2.4 Ghz connection has 0.3Mb/s for downloads and uploads when I put my laptop right beside it. No idea what's going on, but it's completely useless.

Tried each settings, and 2.4Ghz still not working.
Even upgrade it with the newest firmware, the 2.4Ghz just doesn't work properly.

Speedtest result in the furthest room.
5Ghz - (Almost max)
2.4Ghz - Just gave me an error during the test due to disconnection...

Overall, I am extremely happy with its 5Ghz speed, but also extremely upset with the 2.4Ghz, because the 2.4Ghz wifi reader that I gifted to my parent during Xmas became half useless. What a sad Christmas. I regret that I didn't test it thoroughly after I bought this. (The 5Ghz on this router worked extremely well, so I didn't check the 2.4Ghz.) Now I am over the 30 days usage, so I can't return it or exchange it. :(

Since it didn't work as promise, I give it one star.
But if the 2.4Ghz worked as promise, I would give it a full 5 stars.

What This Product Does

TP-LINK's TL-WDR3600 is a performance optimized simultaneous dual band wireless router combining the blazing fast speeds of 300Mbps using the crystal clear 5GHz band and 300Mbps using the traditional 2.4GHz band. With simultaneous dual band, users have 600Mbps of total bandwidth to power numerous bandwidth intensive applications at the same time around a large home or office setting, where simple tasks such as e-mail or web browsing can be handled by the 2.4GHz band at 300Mbps and more latency sensitive tasks such as online gaming or HD video streaming can be processed over the 5GHz band at 300Mbps, at the same time. With five Gigabit ports and 800Mbps+ hardware NAT, your wired devices will have lightning-fast, lag-free connections and, in addition to 2 USB 2.0 ports capable of sharing flash storage, printers, ftp servers and media players, users can power a robust home media network.
