Summary Blue LED didn't work from installation. I'm limited to green and red colours. Not that big of a deal because I'm more concerned with it's ability to keep my cpu cool. And it is doing a fine job at that.
Pros Keeps the CPU Cool! Easy to install Dual Fans / Extra thick Radiator. Can Change Fans easily. Corsair Link software.
Cons Dual Fans / Extra thick radiator Can't turn off LED on CPU Can be noisy when High demand cooling needs High speed Fans.
Summary This is the first Liquid cooling system I have owned, and I am pretty happy with it. I am running O/C (Intel 4790k) but while just doing every-day computing the Stock Fans on the Unit are all but silent. I am running at about 31.5 Degrees, the coolest any CPU I have ever had. If I am doing high demand computing it is either in a loud room (eg lots of noise from the game I am playing), or I am wearing headphones. So the noise doesn't matter that much, if it does start to become an issue, I may switch to some noctua fans for the radiator. It was extremely easy to install, and setup. I like the two fans, and the fact that the heatsink (radiator) is thick. However due to case limitations that same fact caused me to have to remove my side case fan (hence it being both a pro and con). The corsair link software is interesting, and makes keeping the bios on the Cooling unit up to date very easy. You can keep track of everything. Up until I had this software I couldn't read the heat sensors on my Hard drives (and SSD). It sure can give you a lot of information at your finger tips. As for that LED, you cannot change the lighting level to all 0,0,0... Minimum is 1,1,1 even though the settings will allow 0,0,0. It just doesn't seem to take. It would be nice to have an option just to switch it off. Otherwise you can mix it up, and set all sorts of pretty colours, shifting and blending and the like. I stress tested the CPU with the intel stress tester (100% load all CPUs & Mem) and this kept the temperature down to 75 degrees, and I had no thermal incidents / slowdowns whatsoever! While I am not at max O/C I am pretty happy with it keeping up with the heat the CPU is generating. However it was really, really noisy at that point! Usually running a game/video work it doesn't get that noisy, as the demand is not usually kept at 100%. I might have gone with the 100i, but the 80i fit my current case, and I am very happy with it.
Cons Loud, not much better at cooling than a standard cpu heatsink.
Summary I will not buy a watercooled hetsink again, since this is the second water cooler that has died on me, it lasted 7 months and I suspect the pump died since even with the fans running on max, it couldn't keep my cpu cool.
Pros Rad is double the thickness of the Corsair H60. Runs OC 8320 full load 58 C about 6 degrees cooler than H60 doesn't seem like muck but makes a big difference when OC. LED on power head can be configured to change color with temperature.
Cons Corsair Link abit flakey takes a bit of fooling around to get it working good.
Summary Upgraded from H60 and chose H80i over H100i for easier installation in case and more compatible for cases as H80i fits in standard 120 fan location. Have OC AMD 8320 to 4.5 GHz no problem 58 degrees full load. Would recommend this cooler have had H50 and H60 and now H80i and all have worked great.
Pros Easy to install Very well packaged Illuminates nicely when operating
Cons Easy to strip mounting screws said screws could be a bit longer to accommodate thicker cases
Summary My first experience with liquid cooling and the result is encouraging. Fans are loud on startup but calm down to nearly silent after POST completes. I have a Lian Li case which is made of fairly thick aluminum, I managed to strip one of the screw sockets during installation due to the mounting screw being just barely long enough to make the connection. Other than that, the instructions a bit vague but adequate for the task. Happy overall.
Pros -Works well as a cooler -Corsair Link software is nifty
Cons -At full speed, this puppy is LOUD - you'll want the link software to turn them down -Installation problems
Summary It works. My cpu is nice and cool, the noise is acceptable once you turn the fans down from full blast, and you'll probably have a ball playing with the software-adjustable led colours. I like it now that it's installed, but holy cow it was a battle to install.
The motherboard back plate didn't fit correctly - it's way too sloppy when installed. This is a common issue with the product, lots of complaints on other forums that it just doesn't fit right on some motherboards that are on the thin side. Sloppy bracket=bad cpu contact=bad cooling. I had to add 2 stand-off washers on each of the 4 threaded pegs in order to make it fit correctly; Unfortunately these washers don't come in the box - so if you decide this is the cooler for you, make sure you have a few of those handy before you start. Apparently the installation is a breeze on newer boards, but if you're retrofitting this into an older system that's supposed to be compatible with it, be prepared to do battle with it.
Pros -Best thick rad 120mm solution, within a couple degrees of the H100 with push/pull -Good pm price
Cons -Corsair still manages to bundle the noisiest and clangiest 120mm fans on the entire market.
Summary The biggest drawback is Corsair's fans, if you're prepared to buy some after-market Noctua's or other, then go for it. But assume that is part of the price when you're buying it, you don't want to listen to mosquitoes in your case.
Protect your hardware and increase your CPU's overclocking potential. Dual fans and a double-thick radiator deliver outstanding cooling efficiency, and with Corsair Link™ you can monitor coolant temperature and adjust cooling performance.
