Unlike other SSDs on the market, Crucial SSDs treat all files the same, regardless of whether they're compressed or uncompressed. I am so happy with this SSD. I used a 120GB OCZ Agility 3 as the primary/boot drive in my 17" Dell XPS for about 15 months. It was OK but the computer would crash (BSOD and/or rebook) about once every 2 weeks. Not often enough to make it a big deal but still a bit annoying and hard to pinpoint the exact reason. Tried to update all drivers and firmware without any luck. Now, I replaced the 120GB OCZ Agility 3 with a 512 Crucial M4 and I couldn't be happier. The speed feels about the same, but the system is finally completely stable. The laptop has now been running non stop for 5 or 6 weeks without any single issue. Also, 512 GB is a good size so that one does not have to worry about what goes on which drive anymore (except for maybe movies, that I am still storing on my second regular HDD). I would definitely recommend this drive, especially if you manage to get it on sale (I paid $369.99 on boxing day).
