Pros

Intel.
Interface graphique intégré.
Rapide.
4 cœurs.
Refroidisseur OK.
Cons
Un peu trop cher.
Pas overclockable.
Summary

Pros

Great performance for price
Non-k version, so no overclocking. I had no intention of doing so, allows me to keep stock cooler without extra expense. No need for aftermarket cooler, stays at a great temperature range.
Cons
None thus far
Summary
Paired this with Asus Z87m-Plus board, GTX750ti, 8gb 1866 CL9, and 128gb SSD. System runs amazing. Nice and quiet, stock cooler runs fine, don't bother with aftermarket. Highly recommend.

Pros

fast enough, runs cool, better performance
Cons
crappy oem heatsink, non-K, no-HT
Summary
Currently in the middle of a SFF/m-ITX gaming build. I held off buying the processor until the price reaches sub-CAN$200. The i5-4440 and i5-4430 would have been decent contenders except I got the i5-4570 cheaper than the other two. The lower clock speed of the two other i5's meant a compromise in single-threaded apps where even an i3-4340 i 3.6GHz might fare better and cost another $50 less.

I am sure a lot of people would argue that more cores is better but realistically, 2 (or roughly 2-1/2 cores with HT) is usually sufficient for most games with the brunt of the lifting assigned to the GPU.

I'm neither a AMD or Intel fanboy. I simply purchase stuff based on price, performance and availability. I've got a few systems at the house (low and mid-end builds) that are all purpose-built (I have a 1090T and a 3770K desktop, GF has a FX-4100 and FX-8350 and a mediaPC running/file and print server running an A6-5400). However, all these are ATX and MATX builds. I wanted to see how far the m-ITX platform has progressed since the day of the embedded Atoms.

I have the 4570 running on an Asus board on top of my desk. Currently just an open testbench will all of the parts connected together while I finish my scratchbuild case.

With the stock cooler, OCCT (www.ocbase.com) fails between 2-5 mniutes with at least one core reporting 75C. With a Hyper212 plus passive, it wont even break 55C. A single low speed fan lowers the temp even further.

No plans on overclocking for this build

Pros

Price
Runs fast
Cons
Garbage heatsink
Lacking compared to 4670/k
Summary
I bought this to save the extra money to use elsewhere in my build, instead of going with the 4670. Note that this is non k and doesnt have ht

Pros

Good performances for the price
Intel technologies
Cons
No Hyperthreading
Fan is noisy past 1300rpm
Summary
It is my first Intel build. I've been building AMD builds for the past 10 years, but I decided to switch to Intel. AMD unfortunately have more drivers issues and I got sick of this. I am not disapointed after I made the switch. Everything works, including great Intel technologies such as RapidStart and QuickSync.

Unfortunately, there is no hyperthreading on this CPU and it is a non-K version, which is not overclockable. But I knew that before buying it and I knew I didn't need a more powerful processor for my needs. I find, however, Intel processors a bit expensive and I would have prefer HT included, but it's still very good for my needs.

I'm probably going to change the stock cooler soon. I can hear it everytime it higher than 1300rpm and it is not a very pleasant noise. It is a high pitch noise. I'm thinking about dropping a Noctua U12S.

Overall, great buy for people who don't want to overclock. It should be good for gamers as well, just get a decent graphic card.

Pros

Fast, runs fairly cool, good price
Cons
No HT, 4 cores only.
Summary
I bought this thinking it had HT...sadly it does not. Which is fine. It runs great and all. No issues what-so-ever. Beware if you're looking for a HT i5.

Pros

Fast, good integrated graphics, quad core, turbo boost
Cons
None at all
Summary
Very good Intel CPU for people building their first PC. Does not overclock, but it does have turbo boost 2.0. The integrated graphics can handle most games at lower resolutions and settings. I highly recommend this i5 for people looking for good quad core performance but aren't overclocking.

Pros

Great Low Power Fast CPU
Cons
None
Summary
Fast, not much faster that previous generations.
4 cores, no HT. Its more than enough for severe multitasking.
