runs very smooth with planetside 2 paired with a zotac gtx 750 ti 2gb gddr5. doesn't cost much and you are getting your moneys worth out of this. easy OC in bios, got it OC'ed to 4.0ghz constant with a rocketfish dual fan heat sink and stays at 30-50degrees with that clock speed.
gets very hot and I advise to get an after market to get it to 30-40degrees when under load. I have a rocketfish dual fan stem block so i am good x) matches up to an i3 triple or quad core. but matches up to some i7's in other tasks.
don't even dare to OC this bad boy with the stock cooler >:( I just changed the clock by 500mhz and it raised by 10degrees and that is with an after market cooler. it would be twice that heat with the stock cooler. so say like I had 50-80degrees on stock cooler and stock clocks. add 20-30degrees more and you are on fire in a bad way. 90-100degrees. well vented case too. but I recommend this cute fx to anyone who is looking for a minor gaming cpu as long as you OC safe and youtube volts and clocks properly. can end very bad with a fried hardware. so fried it might as well be bacon >:P

Cheap, performance, budget build
MIR - if you call that one. Products like this generally always have a MIR
This combo was used for the base of a Christmas budget gaming build. The CPU and motherboard pair up to be a pretty feature full little power house, very good dollar to performance value.

CPU can be OC'd fairly well, I would suggest after market cooling for this though. It will help you get that little extra boost in performance when pairing this set up with a fairly high end video card. This combo was the reason we were able to make this budget gaming computer happen for a price that you cannot refuse.

Watch for this to go on sale quite often, get the best bang for your buck!

Very good price for 6 core and board.
none so far
Good temp and performance but average o/c, for the price it beat Intel comparable cpu in value.

Experience: 1 Years
Easy installation, easy to use BIOS
never got my rebate.
This is a good little bundle, the board runs perfect, the processor is good, and it's good for expansion later on with the support for an 8 core processor down the road. the only downside I had was I never got my mail in rebate.

also, the board works great with corseair vengeance memory, I run the Blue but the black would go better.

It came with the R2 version, so despite pcpartpicker and other sites advertising potential compatibility issues, there were none.

It stays very cool, even when gaming.

USB 3.0 works very quickly.
The motherboard makes weird electronic noises sometimes, but they are not very noticeable. They are not bothersome.
Arguably the best budget pc bundle. Works great. Don't spend money on overpriced Intel chips because AMD makes very decent products. We are still waiting for our rebate, so we cannot comment on it.

- Bottomline: Great performance for the cost.
- Mobo has lots of, surprisingly, great features. Looks good and feels sturdy.
- FX-6300 runs anything I can throw at it without breaking a sweat.
-Runs cool even with stock cooler. (used Arctic Silver MX-4 thermal paste)
-FX-6300 overclocks like a beast.
- No legacy IDE port.
This Combo was a great purchase. I couldn't be happier. I read many reviews online bashing the performance of the FX-6300 however paired with a GTX650ti I run Battlefield 4 on Ultra Settings at 1650x1080 without the hint of a stutter. I would write more but need to go.

Good component compatibility;
Improved R2 version of the motherboard has front USB 3.0 and latest BIOS pre-installed;
Windows 7 recognized most drivers automatically (no need to reformat hard drive from old PC);
Best deal at $189 with included rebates.
Mail-in rebate that takes 4 months to process!
The Asrock 970 Extreme3 included in this deal is the R2 version and came with the most up to date BIOS. It also features front USB 3.0 support, which its' predecessor didn't (and reveived much flak for in the reviews).
The motherboard and processor perform well right out of the box and there was no settings/other issues in the way. RAM installed in this rig was G.Skill Ripjaws (2x4GB kit) and again, there was no compatibility issues, despite some people reporting the opposite.
Computer has been up and running day & night for the last 20 days or so with no signs of any problems, with numerous power on and off cycles. Audio, LAN, USB ports and media card reader all work great, despite some people reporting numerous problems with those components on the Asrock 970 Extreme3.
Word of advice: use a good amount of caution when installing the motherboard, as it is true that it's quite flimsy (the one thing I fully agree with as far as all negative reviews are concerned for this motherboard). Pre-install all the necessary supports inside the case and install the processor + heatsink/fan and your memory modules BEFORE installing the board inside the PC case, as this will prevent excessive flexing while trying to secure these components in place. Simply put the motherboard on a flat & dry non-conductive surface and install the processor + heatsink, add the RAM and THEN install the whole assembly inside the case. Use caution when plugging in the power supply plug and try to support the board underneath with your fingers until the power plug snaps in place. Again, the goal is to prevent flexing of the motherboard and of its' electronic components.
Some of the reported problems (malfunctions/DOA) are most likely related to this issue... people bending/flexing the board excessively while forcing the RAM modules and/or processor heatsink onto a board that's a bit thinner than usual, while the board is already hanging in mid-air supported only by a few brass fasteners inside the PC case. Being careful and using a bit of logic during the install process should eliminate any risk of that kind of damage.
All in all, this bundle seems lieka solid purchase. Thanks NCIX!

Amazing price for a budget gaming rig
Overclocks fairly well
Good Motherboard layout compared to other sub 100$ boards
Mosfets have a heatsink on them. Good peace of mind considering the power consumption of am3+ chips
Am3+ power consumption compared to similar performance Intel
An 8320 bundle may be worth getting at 30-50$ more if gaming is your primary focus
Poor single thread performance
With next gen consoles soon to cause a move in optimization towards core count. I expect to see this budget gaming rig to only get better over the next year or so. Currently its only struggling to max out some poorly optimized games like : Guildwars 2, and Planetside 2.
That being said you may want to consider jumping to an 8320 build if your budget allows it. Either way its hard to beat this price to performance.
