Toshiba America Information Systems, Inc. (TAIS), Storage Device Division introduces
the MK6022GAX 2.5-inch 60GB Hard Disk Drive. The MK6022GAX offers the industries
highest areal density per platter, at 49.8 gigabits per square inch. The drive's
5400 RPM motor speed, improves system-level performance by as much as 12 percent
when compared to 4200 RPM drives.
This new drive offers enough capacity for portable video recording and editing,
with lower power consumption compared to the traditional 3.5-inch HDDs. This
functionality provides ideal storage for a range of commercial and consumer
notebooks, as well as non-PC applications such as PDAs, printers, copiers, GPS
systems and MP3 players. The MK6022GAX is ATA-5 compliant, supporting high transfer
rates of up to 100 megabytes per second.

The old 4200 was such a pain, killing the 9700 and the A64 2800. Now Winamp keeps on playing when I lunch something else, zipping performances are close to a desktop, no more AFK while loading a game.

Installed this in my Toshiba Satellite M30 after my old drive failed. It's absolutely awesome, very quiet, doesn't heat up, is stable and I've definitely noticed the greater cache.

Installed this in my Asus M6bne and its been running great, its much faster than any other notebooks ive used im sure in no small part to the 5400 and the huge 16mb cache it has. Doesn't seem to run hot, however my only complaint is the loud seeking noise, but its not really a big deal. Does not seem to be a huge drain on the battery either
