Summary
Bought this to replace the hitachi drive that came with my laptop. The difference was huge! This drive is almost absolutely silent, except for seeking, which is still inaudible. Head parking creates the occasional click.
The drive does get a bit warm tho, and it draws a bit more current than my older drive.

Summary
No problems at all installing this drive into my Toshiba laptop, the old hard drive had failed due to the laptop falling on the floor accidentally. WIth the original restore disks, this recovery was a snap. - I just wish I could install English windows XP on a Japanese Laptop! its an issue!

I bought this drive to replace an aging 10gb drive in my Dell laptop, which just bogged down my system. Dropped this baby in installed Windows and WOW what a performance boost. Great cheap fast drive.

I bought one of these to replace a dead hitachi drive and I am very impressed with it so far. Compared to the old drive, this thing is nearly silent and MUCH faster! I am very impressed with this drive so far.

I put this in my R31 P3 machine and could not believe how quiet it was. The price is right and nobody in their right mind should be storing more than 40 gigs of data on a laptop drive anyhow. Have you seen how small the parts are inside of these? I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to a friend if they needed one for their laptop.

Like most people I used it to replace a 4200rpm drive. Quite a diffrence, windows booted faster and everthing was more responsive. Does cut your battery time down a little.

manuals and is subject to inspection before warranty approval. Laptop and notebook with
tampered serial numbers or UPC code will be denied returns.
GOVERNMENT & BUSINESS Laptop and Notebook purchases made with government or business POs can be returned typically within fourteen (14)
days from original invoice date. Return will only be accepted with original packaging, accessories, cables, free gifts (if applicable), unopened
software and manuals and is subject to inspection before warranty approval. Laptop and notebook with tampered serial numbers or UPC code will be
denied returns. Please check with your B2B sales representative for specific terms and details.
All NON-DEFECTIVE returns are subject
to a 15% restocking fee. No refunds will be issued for blank media,
digital camera (and accessories), opened software, printers,
printer supplies, paper, projectors (and accessories), appliances,
handhelds, PDAs, notebook computers, special order computers and
special order items.
Defective software, video games or DVDs
will be replaced by the SAME title and format ONLY (and subject
to current availability) within 30 days of the Invoice date. Software, Drones,
