ASUS V9400-X is the new addition to the X Series family. Powered by Nvidia MX4000 GPU, the V9400-X supports DirectX 8.1 and OpenGL graphics standards. The MX4000 GPU also supports NVIDIA nfiniteFX™ II Engine, Accuview Antialiasing™ Subsystem, NVIDIA Lightspeed Memory Architecture™ (LMA) II, and many other NVIDIA technologies.
The X Series family is specifically designed to focus on mainstream markets. All models in the X series feature comprehensive connectivity, including DVI output (DVI-D), CRT output (D-Sub), and TV out (Composite) connectors, and various ASUS exclusive technology innovations. We believe the new X series cards could satisfy the needs for high quality VGA cards in the mainstream market.

This is a sufficient card for those who don't need great 3D performance. Also a good replacement for on-board video if it happens to stop working, or if you want a DVI port for an LCD monitor.

The people who gave this card bad reviews don't know what they are talking about. Of course for $45 you won't get a killer video card that will play the latest games... that's why $250+ video cards exist... some even go to the $800+. I bought this card for a friend who just wanted a computer to check e-mail and do some word processing and it does that very well. The text is crisp and very easy to look at.

Got this for a office system that needed a DVI-Output. It does everything fine, plays games smooth, but sometimes the screen flashes for no reason.

This card is exactly what you pay for, and more. It will play last generation 3D games, and some of the newer ones even (with lowered settings)

This wasnt what i had wanted to get but did some testing with it and it can handle things like Warcraft 3 on full settings without any lag, so its a decent card especially for the 40 bucks it cost.

I purchased this card for home theatre use and would say I am happy with it. The lack of an onboard fan keeps the noise down and the DVI output allows for some expandability in future. However, coming from an ATI card which had s/video along with composit output, I was disapointed to find that this card only has the composit RCA output.
