Pros
-Dencent overclocking depending on CPU
-Low Price
Cons
-Only 2 SATA
Summary
This board was a great buy for my P4 3.2Ghz Northwood. OCed to 3.6Ghz with a Zalman CNPS7000B and 2GB of OCZ Platinum PC3200 DDR400 kit. The only concern was that there is only 2 SATA ports but I guess I can't complain because of the price.

Pros
Design is superior to the Foxconn 865A01 , it replaces
Faster, with hyperstreaming engine ,enabled in bios.
Price, half the price, i paid for my old Foxconn.
Cons
Not troublesome free initial setup. Difficulty with initial boot, while installing with ram in dual channel. Had to test each dimm seperately, for ram compatibility. Then set all values manually, instead of spd detection. Sata driver must be installed in O.S before drives can become operational.
Summary
I'm very happy with this board, so far anyway...
Evereything seems to function as it should.

My old Foxconn motherboard had a Intel 865 chipset, nothing to write home, about.
This board , when installed with a little troubleshooting "elbow grease " works great.
Nothing wrong with the SIS 655 FX chipset, with the latest bios, installed.

Pros
Easy replacement for a P4PE2 Motherboard
Cons
Doesn't have a 1 GB NIC built in
Summary
I needed a replacement for a P4PE2 motherboard and was worried that I would have to rebuild the OS but this installed without a problem. On boot up the OS found all the required updates on the CD and installed everything without a problem. The board has a lot of new features which the old MB didn't have. A very nice motherboard.

Pros
Way to easy to install...
Cons
the port plate on the back of the computer did not fit correctly. could be the case not the plate...
Summary
Excellent install. had to change a customers mobo because of leaking capacitors. pulled the chip put it on this board, moved the ram hooked up the drive cables. flicked the switch and BAM perfect working comp right off the bat. he is in love with it. says his whole system is running faster now. another quality ASUS mobo..

Pros
Good software bundle, many ram slots.
Cons
Poor overclocking options, limited (and confusing) Bios.
Summary
I RMA'd this after three days. I would love to comment on Dual Channel RAM but unfortunately RAM slots 3+4 were DOA. I researched high and low to find out what the problem was but in the end she got shipped back to NCIX. The Mobo seems to indicate that you can OC quite easily but that is not the case, and its OC options are limited unless your P4 happens to be unlocked. Having said that, I do like the included Asus utility as it was helpfull in diagnosing the dead ram slots, and the other features in the included utility were decent. It was nice to have all of the temps laid out and various other notes for the mobo. In the end I decided that, for the price, it was worth it to instead get a S754 AMD and a Sempron chip. Better OC, PCI-E or AGP, and usually cheaper.

Pros
great board for the price to keep those northwoods and 9800s cooking.
Cons
ram problems
OC
Summary
Great board for agp and s478 components. Im very pleased with how this has worked out for me, my only complaint is that it doesn't like mismatched ram very well at all. I had to underclock my three 512 sticks of pc3200 (ddr400) to 332mhz in order to get stable boots. (see the forum threads). Having so few ram clock speed settings is a problem, as somebody else has noted. Generally poor board to try any overclocking on, as the options are pretty limited.

Pros
ASUS reliability. onboard sound. trouble free installation. cheaper than intel chipset boards
Cons
none of the bells and whistles of newer boards. drivers need to be installed separately from other each other.
Summary
i bought this board for a friend of mine who thought his board had died. after he replaced his board and foung out it was his video card all along that was causing his problems, i bought back from him. i used the opportunity at getting this board at such a cheap price to replace the guts of my sisters old athlon t-bird 1 gig comp. i had some ram lying around and bought a p4 3ghz off ebay. this board was as easy as any other i have worked with to build a computer around. it was perfectly compatible with all of my sister's other hardware. the only thing that was a little annoying was that the drivers don't come in a neat package. there were four different drivers to install off the cd and you kinda don't know what some of them are for and don't know if you really need them.

if you're looking into building a good and cheap computer this would definitely do the trick.

Pros
Well priced, does the job, lots of stuff included
Cons
Color scheme, some inital bios defaults
Summary
Great board, did the trick nicely for a buddy's computer, had a problem with the motherboard BSODing when it was set in the default for RAID instead of SATA (on the sata ports). Apart from that, an excellent motherboard, and at a good price for the 478s

Pros
Cheap, easy to set up
Cons
Lacking in features
Summary
I used this board to retrofit an old computer in the house, because the other motherboard was fried. It was incredibly easy to integrate into the old case and using all the old parts. The only problem is that it lacked nifty extras, but at that price who can blame the manufacturers for skimping a bit?

Pros
Stable
Good features for price
inexpensive
Cons
Boring-looking asus board
Could ask for more features, if the board wasn't so inexpensive
Summary
I used this board to replace one that had died (Caps were bleeding). It was an easy setup and appears to be very stable. I haven't used any of the "easy" overclocking features, but I hear they work well. I would give it a better rating, but its definitely not the best board out there. I Would give it a worse rating, but its soo inexpensive, without being cheap.

Its a great board for people not looking to break records and just want a stable board for everyday computing.
