I bought this processor to replace my AMD 3200 single core and while I spent many hours to get this processor to work properly (for example: downloading the dual core optmizer, the CPU drivers, then the hotfix and figuring out which of these I needed or didn't need. Apparently it's different for everyone) the processor delivers in terms of its speed and dual core capabilities.

I've had this for about of month, seems to be the chip to buy if you're sticking with the socket 939 stuff and don't want to overclock too much.

Worth the price I paid, great upgrade from my P4 3GHZ. This is much faster than my DELL system. It had PC100 memory and 5400RPM hard drive.

I do alot of gaming and video encoding/decoding and I wanted a CPU that would help out with both. I haven't noticed a huge upgrade over my Socket A 3200+ Athlon XP while gaming but when doing video encoding I notice a 3x increase in speed. I would recommend this cpu to anybody. If you are going from a single CPU to a dual core make sure you download the AMD duel core drivers AND and the Windows XP duel core hot-patch to make this work.

For those not wanting to upgrade to a am2 board, and still have a solid 939 board. Get this processor, good bang for the buck, and a worthy upgrade if your computer is falling behinf in the times.
