Pros Was pretty affordable when I got it — even cheaper now, includes decent power supply, pretty quiet
Cons I haven't looked closely inside but something broke with the sound connectors in front, and sometimes it only plays the right channel unless I wiggle my finger in there; also a strange oddity where if I plug and replug a USB device in front, it won't recognize (or power) it until I restart. Not sure if this is the Sonata's fault but it's very irritating.
Summary I've actually had this for more like ~1.5 years but the form wouldn't let me put that in years, so I went with "18 months".
I haven't had many computer cases, but this has been a fairly good performer throughout its run. Now that I'm getting a new computer from NCIX with a Sonata III, I may be more bold to get inside the case.
I like the sleek black design, and it's pretty quiet (I acquired it after reading numerous reviews), but it sits under my desk; I bet I'd notice the noise and heat more if it was at chest level.
Overall, I've felt this to be a good case for my trusty computer, housing the components pretty well. I haven't really made use of the drive bays or expansion slots a whole lot, but I do use the front USB jacks (can never have too many USB jacks). See weaknesses for cons I've noticed.
Summary Overall really good case, however, I tend to doubt the usefulness of that air guide contraption. I seems to make take up a lot of already scarce real estate inside the case. And the LEDs on the front easily illuminate a dark room. It can be easily unpluged, though.
In my opinion you're better off checking out the Sonata III.
Summary Very sleek looking a quiet. Lots of room to upgrade inside. The front ports are a nice feature. The lights are a bit bright if this is in your bed room however and I broke my door off and can't fix that now.
Summary The front port access to this case is very good but I would recommend a similar case without the stupid door. Generally a good value for the price however but if you switch media etc on regular basis then this will become very annoying.
Pros Pretty much everything. Good solid case with a great finish. Decent amount of room to work in and pretty solid power supply. Definitely affordable.
Cons None really. Haven't run into anything yet that would cause me to rage and punt it through a window. Power supply is pretty good for the price you pay for the whole thing/
Summary Pretty much said it all before. Good looking good functioning case. Great for a starter system or a whatever else you could need it for. Bright blue LEDs upfront are a nice touch with a "chrome" door to hide the USB other ports up front. Would recommend.
Pros Inexpensive for what you get (Antec) Perfect for a simple user
Cons ps failed after a year ps really close to cpu, i have to remove it to remove my heatsick AirDuck completly useless Scratchable
Summary First of all i was like: HO COOL AN AIRDUCK! it will help so much!.. well in fact cpu is cooler without the airduck. I was forced to remove it anyway to place my Big Typhoon.. but it was without any tears. PS seem good and quiet, but fail after short time. PS not good for overclocking, volt. was unstable.
Air Flow is not beter than average.
I would not recommend this case to a pc enthousiast, however it can be a pretty good combinason for an average user who want a nice looking brand case. It is not too loud.
Pros -excellent value -silent -good power supply -pano finish
Cons -cooling is average
Summary This case is doing its job perfectly. It comes with a good Antec smartpower 450W power supply which is enough for normal usage (no SLI, high end or OC). The case is fairly silent. The 120 mm has a switch for choosing 3 different speeds. At low the fan is barely noticeable. The hard drives cages has rubber on it to absorb the HD vibrations which is nice. Cooling is average, but gets the job done. I'd recommend adding another 120mm fan in front.

Cons -Not as silencious as P18X series -SmartPower start/stop can be annoying -Duct intake in the back not much of a good idea.
Summary The sonata II is a nice entry-level case for those that do not want to buy one of the P18X series, the small form-factor and light weight of the case makes it quite interesting for gamers that tend to LAN a lot, but it isn't that silencious compared to P18X as the case is only made of a single metallic layer wich doesn't dampen the sound that much. The SmartPower is a good stable power supply, but its sound can be annoying when starting/stopping, especially over long periods of time. The duct is a good idea but the intake on the back of the case makes it suck a bit of the exhausted heat (plus a 120mm fan would have been a better idea). The front filter is a nice idea, eventhough it isn't really easily reachable.
The highly anticipated update of Antec's Sonata has arrived and promises to be even better than it's predecessor. Can the Sonata II improve upon the award winning Sonata I's style and quiet performance? Lets find out with Futurelooks' WORLD EXCLUSIVE first review of the case.
LifeStyle Sonata II combines the classic style and silent performance of the original Sonata with an upgraded SmartPower2.0 450 power supply and innovative new cooling design for handling the latest, fastest technologies.
