Extremely Quiet The low speed 92 mm fan reduces the noise level to a minimum. The patented fan holder is able to practically eliminate the typical buzzing sound of 92 mm fans. Patent No 203 07 981 U1 (Germany) Patent No 10/834 232 (USA) The PWM chip in the motor allows an exact fan speed control over the BIOS. (4 wire) Powerful cooling 6 Heat Pipes (three used double sided) are able to transfer heat up to 200 Watt. The heat exchanger is built of 42 fins and consists of a surface area of over 4700 cm2 and allows for resistance free energy transfer to air.
Integrated Cooling of Voltage Converters Air is drawn in from the side of the fan to cool the components around the CPU. Some air is blown out towards the voltage converters on the mainboard with the bent fins at the bottom.
Patented Vibration Absorption The four rubber connectors on the fan case act as a vibration damper to absorb the vibration of the running fan and prevent vibration transfer to the heatsink and the case.
Easy Installation The cooler is to install without any tools within seconds.
Long Lifetime / 6 Years Warranty The ARCTIC Ceramic Bearing provides an unmatched Life Time of 137'000h (L10@40°C) resp. an MTBF@70°C of 163'000h and thus a 6 year warranty.

Heat Sink: 104 x 58 x 126.5 mm Fan: 107 x 43.5 x 96 mm Overall Dimensions: 107 x 96.5 x 126.5 mm Rated Fan Speed: 300 - 2500 RPM (PWM) Power Consumption: 0.16 Amp. Air Flow: 45 CFM / 77 m3/h Weight: 520 g Noise Level: 0.9 Sone Thermal Resistance: 0.17°C/Watt Thermal Interface Material: Pre-applied MX-1 Paste Warranty: 6 Years
Noise Level The noise level is measured in Sone (loudness) instead of dB (sound intensity). The loudness depends upon ears response curves and tells you exactly, how bothering a certain noise is.
Cooling Performance All Pentium 4 CPUs have an integrated "Thermal Throttling" i.e. in case of overheating risk, the number of working cycles is reduced, thus lowering performance however preventing the CPU from over heating. Therefore to reduce the noise level, a Pentium 4 CPU cooler can work at its limit and this way drop the noise level significantly. The Thermal Throttling get usually activated at 85°C core temperature.
Good system ventilation is crutial for the CPU cooling. The temperature in the area of the CPU cooler should never exceed 38°C. Therefore we recommend to use a temperature controlled Case Fan.
Thermal Compound We ship our coolers with the ARCTIC MX-1 thermal compound. This compound hardens during the first 200h while the performance improves steadily. With heating up the paste / heatsink the process can be shortened. The performance is even from the beginning good enough to cool your CPU reliable.

What can you expect to get for around $25 CDN these days? With regards to the Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro you can expect to get some very impressive cooling results when compared to a stock Intel Cooler. An improvement of 7C at stock speeds and upwards of 16C on a heavy overclock will not only ben
For anyone still stuck with their stock fan I would defiantly recommend the Freezer 7 Pro. The price to quality ratio is unbeatable, and its one of the best heat sinks on the market.
Overall I would have to say that this is a decent performing cooler, with middle of the line cooling performance. But with its relatively low cost, you can't really ask for much more. The major thing that is noticeable with this cooler is the sound level is nearly inaudible when installed inside of
"Although it is not something extreme, its excellent price and noteworthy performance make it a very affordable high performance cooler for use on the warm Intel cores. Also, when PWM is enabled, the Freezer 7 Pro becomes inaudible when the system is idle."

Great cooler for the money. Strongly outdoes stock cooling, and yet doesn't give up a whole lot to most more expensive air cooling systems.

I replaced the stock heatsink from a P4 with this and it works well, it dropped the temps by over 10 degrees. Noise wise there isn`t much of a difference over the stock unit, but it`s still within reason. The mounting system was easier to use than the stock setup, since you can take the fan off easily to get to the pins.

Proven design and good value at $20 NCIX sale price, this unit is perfectly adequate for any stock application and will work well with moderate overclocking. I run an E8400 at 3.6GHz stable and don't see more than 40°C with Prime95.

Not bad at all for the price, but if the fan breaks or stops working, prepare to be ghetto modding it with ty raps and string with another brand of fan. You know you would use ty raps to, because if you paid so little for your CPU cooler, you must be ghetto. It's like a rule of life.

i actually messed up putting the hsf the first time. i ended up having to wipe up all the thermal paste and buying it all over again. my fault of course, since this was the first time i put on a hsf. works well now, nice and quiet.

i bought this years ago for my comp. and it served me well. i never had any problems and it was much better than the stock intel cooler. But now your can get a cpu cooler for 5-10$ more that cools twice as good as this one.. nice cooler in its day but its days are over...
