I bought this to better cool the Epox 8npa-SLI motherboard northbridge and this helped me get a extra 100 MHz overclock compared to the stock heatsink while being more silent.

Easy to install on a ASUS P5B Deluxe even with the Thermalright HR-01 on the cpu there's still enough space. You just have to love Thermalright.

Used this as a replacement for the burning hot northbridge heatsink on my Gigabyte DS3. Now it gets pleasantly warm and no more even without a fan. You can also install it any way you want that fits - vertical, horizontal, diagonal and everything in-between.

This product provides decent cooling, but the mounting system is terrible. For my board (the gigabyte P35-DS3R), it uses 2 spring push-pins to mount. The mount is VERY loose, and with very little effort (so much as a tap), I can lift the heatsink half way off of the northbridge, or rotate it around. I am sure this weakens the effectiveness of the thermal paste. I wish I used a mix of AS Epoxy and AS5, or a hardening thermal compound like AC MX-1. It also worries me because it could lead to cracking the northbridge die from an accidental hard impact.

Purchased this a number of days ago. Currently using it on Southbridge chipset. It barely fit in my computer beside my 8800 GTX video card. Due to size, it may interfere with SLI ability.

I got the Noctua 120mm heatsink and fan on my Asus P5B, and I somehow managed to fit in this heatsink too. The two heatsink is almost touching each other.
This Cooler cools down really well tho, time to overclock more :)

Mounted it on my ASUS P5B that has an Arctic Cooling Freezer Pro 7 mounted on the cpu. Concerned it wouldn't fit. However it does! Dropped temp by about 2degrees without fan. May install a fan. Will be cozy.
Pleased with the product and feel better about the heat levels now on my northbridge.

Added in a 60x38 SilenX fan on this. Its silent and keeps my Northbridge at almost room temp.(temp sensor says 28c).
