Pros
- Fully adjustable (tilt and height) - Good resolution
|
Cons
- Color rendering is nothing spectacular - Dead pixels
|
Summary
This is a good basic monitor that should last you a long time. Response time is good, so it will work great with games. If you plan to do design work, look somewhere else since the color rendering is nothing special.

Pros
clear image, strong colour reproduction, follows VISA spec for alternative mounting options, haven't found any dead pixels over 4 months use
|
Cons
viewing angle poor when rotated 90 degrees
|
Summary
A great monitor, currently my primary, looking at purchasing a second, be warned HDMI compatibility is hit-and-miss, this isn't too specific to this monitor but I've seen better. Build quality excelent, all parts feel solid.

Pros
- Tilt/height adjust - simple clip keeps cables clean - 1680x1050 gives lots of screen space - widescreen looks great for gaming and movies
|
Cons
- had to go through 3 to find one with no dead pixels - gets kind of dark when not viewed dead on (vertically) - no swivel
|
Summary
This monitor is a great primary monitor. Everything from games to movies to word processing works great and looks perfect. The only real issues are the fact that I had to try several times to get one with no dead pixels (though that may have just been a fluke) and the screen gets dark and loses detail when viewed from above or below center, which can be a drawback if you use it to watch movies, as I do. Besides those issues, it's a great monitor.

Pros
Good picture No dead pixels Adjustable height Perfect size Good price
|
Cons
Auto adjust doesn't seem to work Software is lacking
|
Summary
Overall, Samsung has delivered another solid monitor. It looks fantastic when playing games at 1680x1050 or watching wide screen movies. For some reason, when the auto adjust button is pressed, it returns a message saying that it is now available, so you will need to manually adjust it for the first time.
A perfect 20" LCD with 1680x1050 support for the price.

Pros
-Thin bezel -power LED not annoying -Height-Adjustable -Works
|
Cons
-Large desk footprint -Has blue-ish tint -Horrible horizontal and vertical viewing angles -Expensive -HAS w/ no pivot
|
Summary
I bought this monitor thinking that it'd be a pretty decent one, this is my most expensive stand-alone LCD that I've ever owned, and it terms of quality it's the worst of the them all.
I have 2 notebooks and 1 other LCD monitor, all of which have better viewing angles than this Samsung, my other LCD monitor is a Soyo (not Sony, but Soyo!) which I thought was okay, it has a little more backlight bleed than this Samsung, but it's not noticeable unless it's displaying black, it has awesome v&h viewing angles, and it's about 30% cheaper than the 205bw too.
From what little I understand about LCD monitors, all TN panels have atrocious vertical viewing angles, but manufacturers typically place a film of some sort on the surface of the display to improve the viewing angles, I can't believe Samsung would cheap out on some stupid layer of film for this monitor, but the results are clear. (if I am totally off-base forget what I said)
Another thing that I don't like about this monitor is the fact it has a 150% desk footprint compared to other monitors, this can be a real pain when you want to maximize desk space while having a dual-monitor setup as I found out first hand.
Also, as many others have mentioned, the stand for this height-adjustable monitor is defective, and requires replacement. Just taking a quick glance right now at my stand tells me I am on track to give Samsung a call 5 months from now. (And pay for replacement shipping on my own dime?)
If I had to do it again, I would definitely choose a newer 20inch monitor instead of this, the Height-Adjustable Stand (HAS that has no pivot) is overrated, especially for a sub-par panel like this.

Pros
Nice size Includes both cables No stuck pixels
|
Cons
Low contrast ratio
|
Summary
I'd definitely look at getting the newer models with a higher contrast ratio than this one now. I however really liked this monitor for the pluses I listed at the top. I've had fairly good luck with choosing lcds now and this was no exception to that. No backlight bleeding to speak of.

Pros
22", Widescreen, 1680x1050 resolution, high quality display, strong colors and contrast, DVI, HDCP compliant, great for gaming, huge viewing angle
|
Cons
"Screen door effect" on white screens (you can see the borders of the pixels), some backlight bleed.
|
Summary
I purchased this monitor as I was looking for an inexpensive display for gaming and general usage. You can't go wrong on this monitor! It's sharp, big, wide, and looks fantastic. There's no ghosting to be seen and the contrast is more than acceptable for an LCD.
It's HDCP compliant, so you can hook up a PS3 or Blu-Ray/HD-DVD player with an HDMI->DVI cable. This display supports resolutions up to 1680x1050, but has no problems scaling down 1080p with no loss of quality.
My only complaint is the "screen door effect" and backlight bleed. However, these two flaws aren't very noticeable.
If you're looking for a good monitor that's inexpensive, this is for you!

Pros
Lots of desktop space 1680x1050 Looks great Comes with DVI cable
|
Cons
can get the 206bw for about 40$ more and it has better specs
|
Summary
This screen looks amazing didn't even need to adjust the colors or anything. The widescreen aspect is useful too you can view multiple documents side by side and not have their width squished down. Overall a good monitor with a good price.

Summary
This is my first LCD monitor and it looks absolutely amazing. At first I was using 1440x900 resolution and the fonts look very poor. But as soon as I switched it to 1680x1050 everything looks much better. I used Samsung monitors for years. I think they made great monitors and always have great price.
