Economical, scaleable, and has a wide range of hardware support.
DRAM Voltage Settings
This board runs at a very acceptable speed. I purchased this board so I could utilize my E6400 while slowly upgrading my RAM, Video Card, and Hard drive. The performance and reliability at this price range is simply unbeatable. Anyone that's looking to build a budget PC, or upgrade slowly over time, take a serious look at this board. I've already had two people offer me $65 to take it off my hands, and know I will have no issues flipping it after my hardware transistion is complete.

The one complaint I have is that while my OCZ PC3200 (2x512MB) kit runs great on this motherboard, but my PC2-800 Team Xtreem Kit (2x1GB)will not run properly. I'm blaming it on the BIOS Voltage Settings: Auto, Low, Normal, High. Regardless of how they're configured I have nothing but issues.

Perfect transition board
Supports Conroe
Enormous bang for your buck
Not for overclocking
Minimal features
Only 2 RAM slots at a time
After my father's motherboard died in his 478 socket platform, it was a good time to think of an alternative. With only a budget of under $300 we were able to get this motherboard & a D 805 dual-core while carrying over the rest of the system's hardware (DDR RAM & AGP Vid card) while being able to save up & buy the newer technology. This has proved to be very reliable & is a great way to start off on the LGA775 platform since the Conroe chips are such a huge improvement & this board can just drop one in after a simple BIOS flash (I think the current ones come with an up-to-date BIOS though).
RAM prices are still on th high side, so it's nice to be able to use your old stuff while waiting for a sale. Highly recommended!

Inexpensive, AGP and PCIE (4x), ddr and ddr2
HD audio driver will NOT install. PCIE is only 4x. Very limited overclocking. BIOS needs to mature.
I purchased this MOBO to utilize my old computer parts...agp card, and ddr400 ram. I was impressed with this board. After meticulously installing all components, the motherboard, and all components fired up properly. I then proceeded to install chipset drivers, then LAN drivers, then the nightmare of the HD audio driver. Realtech audio apparently has issues with xp under certain circumstances, in this case, the "microsoft bus driver". I have spent 20 hours, if not more exploring this issue. Without any audio drivers, certain editing programs I depend on are useless. I have installed the proper "microsoft bus driver", I have updated the bios, re-installed the os 3 times, and the list goes on. Still, success is not at hand and I have decided to give up and file for a RMA. An alternate route would have been to purchase a sound card, but given the MOBO has HD audio, I cant justify buying a sound card.

Another annoying little issue I have discovered is the board does not detect my keyboard until XP loads. This makes it extremely difficult to access the BIOS, or install widows at the prompt. It will detect the keyboard the first few times, then I have to switch up the keyboard with my older keyboard in order to access the BIOS, or install XP on the "press any key to begin" prompt. Then I have to repeat the process, switching back and forth between the 2 keyboards. Very annoying.

I'm sure the board is a decent board for those who are not having these issues. Good board if only the HD audio worked for me. Because of the intense brain meltdowns I have experienced due to the HD audio and keyboard issue, I can only give this board 2 stars.

Ram and CPU Comparibility, general compatibility, Great overclocking control and protection, bios setup, layout, 7.1 channel onboard sound card, estetics, and value.
Poor lockation of main power socket, slower ram performance, and slightly slow screan refreash performance in 2d
I got this board to replace my older AGP board on my file server that didn't need all the bells and wissle 3d mambo jumbo, with the main purpose of running 24/7 and beeing able to take anything both legacy and new, meaning PCI/AGP/PCI-express. In this regard this mobo is outstanding, as it will also offer comoaribility with Conroe cpus both 2 & 4 cores, so it has the potential to last for years, and is sort of a hidden gem for people that want to have a great private server at a budget or a media mashine for watching movies and the like. And for those who still have good AGP cards and ram and don't want to throw them away, but need more muscle, this is it. Lets face it how many new Agp boards are still produced now a days. Sure it has minor issues, like a bit logie screen refresh in 2D, and a bit slower ram performance, but it more than makes up for it with all the goodies. By the way just for those who would like to know i threw in my Celeron-D 326, for an overclocking performance test, and was blown away. With a stick of Samsung DDR400 ram and a XFX geforce 6800XT, stock air cooling plus 3 120mm fans, I was able to push it just past 4.1GHz thats from a 2.5Ghz (62+ % by the way),and it ran for 5 hours flawlessly I might add. Very impressive. I definitly racomend this mobo. PS: just make sure you use the newest drivers and don't install any old ones, for they disable agp functions. Ciao!

Price -- offers excellent options for the price.
Stable -- I have bought two of these boards already.
No overclocking features.
This board gives you the ability to upgrade to a Core 2 Duo without the need to replace your old AGP video card or DDR ram. AsRock has done a great job keeping the BIOS updates coming and their Windows-based flash utility works great.

Compatibility with older RAM (i.e.: DDR) and support for AGP cards.
Lack of features; only 2 SATA ports.
This is a great stable budget board if you're looking to upgrade to C2D without putting a lot of money down. Being able to use my old RAM and video card is a big plus. Unfortunately, this board is a bit limited in features. Overall, it's a great board.

Very easy install, board labeled well, great transition board.
Pci-e limitations, ram limitations
Wanted to complete yet another upgrade without replacing my AGP card that is less than a year old, this board was the perfect option. Jumping to a Core 2 Duo and being able to keep my current DDR and AGP card offered the best and cheapest solution.

Experience: 2 Weeks
Unbeatable value
Good performance
AGP/PCI-E slots
Supports DDR/DDR2
Low OC potential
I bought this board during the Boxing Day/Week sale for $69.99. One of the best budget 775 boards available. Running with a Pentium D 820 and have had no issues whatsoever. Installation was straightforward as everything is laid out/labeled quite nicely. Besides low OC, you cannot go wrong with this board. Recommended.

A solid motherboard, with a keen eye for past AGP and DDR memory with future PCIe and DDR2 compatibility.
PCIe practically limited to 4x
I had an AGP 8x card and 2 GBs of DDR memory that I didn't want to abandon. This motherboard offers the best of both worlds.

Experience: 20 Days

super simple setup
good compatibility
good performance for entry-level Core2 system
great for making the transition from an older AGP, DDR setup if you can't afford to replace everything at the same time
only one extra fan header (aside from cpu header)
x16 slot isn't really x16
very good board for those looking to upgrade into the core2 realm with not a lot of cash. Onboard sound is fairly good, I didn't notice any issues, but didn't really test it too hard.

Comment: Anandtech did a quick buying guide for the conroe. This board and a bunch of other ones are tested against each other with the Core 2 Duo CPU.
