Great buy for HTPC. I tried the provide fan and it's in fact fairly quiet too. I don't hear it any more than my Zalmann copper heat sink on another machine.

Great chip! Works well as promise.

Summary
Great chip! Works well as promise. First time installation for this cpu, took a while to install the heat sink on the chip.

For noob like me, pay attention to the heat sink and make sure it clicks in. I used it for 3 days without the heat sink in the proper place. Luckily the CPU didn't fry :)

Pros
Fast, Relative Low Cost
Cons
None
Summary
This chip is so fast and so cheap that AMD has had to cut its prices by over half and isn't expected to put out a true competitor until almost a year after the release of this chip!

Every once in a while a chip is released that is better than it really should be with even more hidden potential for enthusiasts. For this generation, this is that chip. It good out of the box and if over clocking is your bag, this chip should satisfy your needs especially if you are on a fixed budget.

Not a bad little chip. Price was decent and reliability seems good. It's an intel chip that works. If cost is a factor, this is the way to go.

Comment: "For under $200US, mainstream users get a processor capable of going toe to toe with the best the competition has to offer, and overclocking enthusiasts can potentially squeeze out performance better than any other dual core processor currently available from either side."
