I'm quite sad that these are going away with the introduction of the new E6x50s, but I just love to remember that one of the new processors is just an overclocked version of this, except probably cooler.

solid processor no complaints after 2 months of use. I'm looking into buying a new heatsink so I can push it to the limit.

This E6400 provides the best return on investment of all the Core 2 Duos -- it's not the slowest or fastest in the lineup but it provides smooth functioning for the PC at its price point.

Old computer was a boat anchor. The new one with this CPU is the difference between night and day. Runs cooler than other Intel Pentium CPUs so much so that the CPU fan does not always run!

I bought this in February and its been almost 4 months and I have no complaints. I OC'd it to 2.6GHz and stayed cool. I did OC it to 2.9ish but realized I didn't need it any faster so put it back to 2.6. Overall its a very powerful CPU and would recommend this over an E6600 or E6700 anytime because of the price.

Bought this to replace a AMD64 3200 and it is much faster for everything. Booting up, compressing files, rendering video, playing games, EVERYTHING. Not to mention that do to the dual core it takes way more to slow this chip down.

The C2D 6300 and 6400 are some of the best value processors ever to hit the market for overclockers. The performance you can squeeze out of these CPUs with a decent motherboard and cooler are astounding.

I overclocked this processor up to 3.4Ghz but turned it back to 3.2Ghz cause i didn't want to risk it, but for the time it stayed that high it worked perfect.
