just got this for my other comp, works flawlessly as u would wish for. it burn's all media i have laying around. got it on sale for $36 so can't go wrong with that price.

The drive is very quiet and reads disks that my plextor had trouble with. I have been using a similar model (one with lightscribe) in another setup and that's been working great after 6 months.

As the drive supports dual-layer media, you have the option to burn 8.5GB disks as well as the more common 4.7GB flavour.

Installation is no-brainer. I just plug power and ide cable and windows XP detect it. So far, no problem burning DVD or CD.

You can't go wrong with this LG. It's lightening fast when using the good quality media and very easy to install. Would definately recommend product to others.

As always this LG burner is pretty good quality. It burns at 16x with decent media (18x with my Verbatim DVD-R).

This drive works well. I picked it up about 2 weeks ago from a store in the next town over. It reads well, right well, fairly quiet...and hasn't blown up any disks yet. I just don't like the "in use" indicator as it flashes and is very annoying rather than just staying lit while in use like my CD-ROM. But over all it was worth the money

Nice produce, easy to install, software is adequate. Better directions on the necessity to remove old software would have helped. Would definately recommend product to others.
