Pros

big cooler
very efficient
Cons
place taking in the case
Summary
I buy this cooler for my Gts but it seems that you have to buy the PLUS version to be able to fit it so I used it on my power color x1900xt 512 ans it worked very goo droping the stock temp of almost 10-15 degres it is very good and pretty silent comparated to the old blower that was a little used... anyway it is a great heat sink but it doesn't come with a fan you will have to buy one. Recommend it!

Pros

Does a lot of cooling
SLI compatible
Fan Attachment Wires
Abundance of accessories in the box (paste, screws etc)
Looks pretty cool
Comes with little ram heatsinks
Cons
Instructions aren't great
Tough to install for the first time but once you get the hang of it.
Takes about 30 mins - at least 1 hour to install.
Takes a lot of case space but allows for SLI.
Kinda pricey for 50 bucks but worth it in the end.
Summary
I used this heatsink to replace my stock fan (which died) on my radeon X1950XTX. I used to get 60C idle and 90-100C full load temperatures on my card (when the stock fan was working) now i get 40C with this cooler. I strapped a 92MM fan onto this heatsink and now i get 38C idle temps and less heat build up during full usages Appox 50-55C. Overclocking potential is huge now. Great buy :D

Pros

-Excellent cooling
-Relatively easy to install
-Great build quality
Cons
-Pricey
Summary
I bought this yesterday to go with my x1900xtx which was getting ridiculously hot. At idle it was 58-60C and under full load it was shooting up to 75C with the stock fan at 70% (temp measured by everest). Now it's idling at 40C and under full load it goes to the high 50's. Incredible! This was mated with a 100mm scythe kaze and it fit, even with the clips that were included. Overall this is by far the best heatsink you can buy, but it's a bit pricey and it doesn't come with a fan.

Pros

4 heatpipes
Allows for passive cooling => Silent
Can use 120mm fan with it
2 ways to install
Cons
Huge size
Doesn't come with a fan
Summary
First off... this thing is very large. It uses up a full 3 pci slots (including the video card), 4 slots (including video card + a fan). I have a P5K-e, so this gave me just barely enough room to have my video card w/ a sound card.

If you can get over the massive size of this setup, everything else about the HR-03 is incredible. Although it is designed for a 92mm fan, I custom mounted a 120mm fan to it, which is currently running at 800 RPM... pretty much dead silent, but still giving a bit of airflow.

I am using this on an ATI X1950 Pro (arctic silver 5 thermal compount) in an Antec SLKBQE 16" Case in a room temp of 28 deg and here are my results:

Stock HR-03 Difference
Idle: 50 Idle: 33 Idle: 17
Load: 80+ Load: 52 Load: 28

I am very inpressed with these results. The ability to decrease idle and load temps by almost 20 and 30 deg respectively is incredible. And remember, this is in a closed, 16" case with the fan running at only 800 RPM. I can only imagine what results one can achieve with something like an Antec 900 case with a 120mm fan running at 2000+ rpm. It's sheer size is it's only downfall, but I guess it's this fact that allows the cooler to absorb and dissipate heat so well.

Pros

Massive Cooling Compacity
Cons
It is fairly big, I doubt I could SLI with it.
Summary
This took my 8800 GTS super from 80 degrees down to 50. I attached a pretty loud fan, but it moves a lot of air.

This was the fan I got

Pros

Absolutely silent, can pair it with your choice of 92mm fans or run it passive
Cons
Installation not for beginners, just a little pricey.
Summary
After my switch to Vista Premium, I noticed that the cooling fan on my BFG 7900GT was running non-stop, as opposed to just when I was playing a game. And let me tell you, that fan iss LOUD. As my computer is close to my bed, and is constantly on, this was unnacceptable. Unable to get a fix, I turned to the HR-03 to cool down my GPU. I am currently running it passively, and it runs at the same temps as the stock HS! I'm adding a near-silent 92MM fan shortly, and cant wait for the results!

Pros

Can be used passively
two ways to mount the heatsink
Cons
Tricky to install
Summary
The installation wasn't too hard, but it was a bit hard to fit the heatsink on once the ramsink was attached on. It really depends which way you mount the heatsink though. Overall this heatsink works well. I'm running it passively for a silence, so I can't tell how good is the performance. But running it passively is working well for my 7950 GT KO.

Pros

Great cooler for VGA. Can choose any 92cm fan as you want.
Cons
large size. Used total of 4 slots with a fan.
Summary
This is a great VGA cooler for quiet PC. I upgrade from Zalman vf700, it is more quieter than vf700, since I can use a larger silent fan with HR-03.

Pros

The mounting is very straight forward you can install without reading but looking at the pics. The thermal tape for the ram heatsinks are extremely sticky so there is no fear of it falling off under increasing temperature, and they give you enough to cover all the ram on any model and even leaves an extra or two depending on your card.
Cons
It's large. This guy takes up a total of 2.5 slots fanless (including the slot for the videocard itself), and takes up 3.5 to 4 slots depending on the fan you get. Can't do the reverse mounting (with a fan) if you have a large cpu heatsink like the Thermalright XP120.
Summary
Fanless: It will keep almost the same temp as stock cooler, but does show an increase of about 2°C which left my BuiltBy ATI X1900XTX warm enough to bake cookies with. Though, I'm sure if you have a case fan pushing directly through the fins it'd help (I don't though).
93°C under full 3D rendering.
58°C idle.

Fan (120mm): Connected through the power plug on the videocard does not provide adequate power as the card decides how fast to spin it by the temp, so plug into p/s or mobo. Used an Ultra Silent Cooler Master fan at first (720rpm/11cfm) and barely improved the temp, so I switched to 3-speed Antec Tricool (1200-1600-2000rpm/39-56-79cfm). At highest speed the temp drops a WHOPPING 30°C under load.
60°C under full 3D rendering.
44°C idle

Downside of course is space, so you have to have slim guts on your case to jam this one in. but really worth it for noise and cooling if you can manage.

Pros

QUIET! Temp reductions
Cons
Big
Summary
Stock HSF is pretty quiet until I enter any game heavy on graphics. This this thing with a nice quiet fan like the Cat is amazing. Matches nicely with my XP90 too.

Comment: Tom's Hardware: Author's Opinion It's always fun to play with the new gold standard of any product, and I'm pretty sure that the HR-03 will be the standard of comparison for VGA coolers until something better comes along. Until then, it'll be in my rig keeping my Radeon X1900 XTX nice and icy, th
