Extremely Quiet The low speed 92 mm fan reduces the noise level to a minimum. The patented fan holder is able to practically eliminate the typical buzzing sound of 92 mm fans. Patent No 203 07 981 U1 (Germany) Patent No 10/834 232 (USA) New: The PWM chip in the motor allows an exact fan speed control via BIOS. (4 wire) Powerful cooling 6 Heat Pipes (three used double sided) are able to transfer heat up to 200 Watt. The heat exchanger is built of 42 fins and consists of a surface area of over 4700 cm2 and allows for resistance free energy transfer to air.
Integrated Cooling of Voltage Converters Air is drawn in from the side of the fan to cool the components around the CPU. Some air is blown out towards the voltage converters on the mainboard with the bent fins at the bottom.
Patented Vibration Absorption The four rubber connectors on the fan case act as a vibration damper to absorb the vibration of the running fan. This can reduce significant vibration between plastic fan case and heatsink.
Easy Installation The cooler is to install without any tools within seconds.
Long Lifetime / 6 Years Warranty The ARCTIC Ceramic Bearing provides an unmatched Life Time of 137'000h (L10@40°C) resp. an MTBF@70°C of 163'000h and thus a 6 year warranty.

Yes it fit on a AM3 motherboard, AND the clip can be diassembled an rotated 90° before being reinstalled. it's not writtend in the spec nor the box, but when you look at it you'll see how, theres an extra set of guiding pins for the socket clip.

I just got this little cooler, and it cooler much better than stock cooler, but the pre-applied thermal paste was too watery which was all flows down to one side, so I had cleaned the paste all up and used my MX-3 paste on it, also it seems the base is smaller than the acutal CPU itself, so it's not fully covered.

Make sure you have room for it. This Heat sink is good for the price. It keeps my processor pretty cool, and I have not had any issues for 3 years with it.

Great for any processor, works as expected, and the stock fan is quiet enough, but I still swapped it for a Yate Loon. But great heatsink for the price. Get it if you're on a budget!

I'm far away from being a computer guy and i installed this litte baby in less then 10 minutes and this including reading the instructions. The instructions are very clear and it's easy to attach to the CPU. My Phenom II temperature drop by 10 degrees in averages and i really have to concentrate to heard the fan...really this is a great piece! I would recommend this product anytime!

Even though this is was released in 2007, it's still a great and quiet performer for the price. Not only does it looks sexy in the case but still supports newer model AM2+ and AM3 CPU's. Keeps my overclocked Phenom II X2 550 Black Edition AM3 CPU at 35 degrees idle and 45 degrees load. Be warned, this may not fit all setup layouts and do not buy the newer Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Rev.2 Pro for AMD setups because the Freezer 7 Rev.2 Pro although newer and better performer will blow hot air down onto you north bridge and graphics card heatsinks. For the price this can't be beat although the Scythe Katana III comes really close in terms of price, performance and noise.

Had to find a CPU cooler that would fit in my case (ones with 120mm fans are too big for my case). Replaced stock HS/F on my AMD X2 3600+, and it runs cooler, and quieter. Great product overall!
