The DNS-323 is an excellent network storage device, which was easy to set-up, easy to use and performed as advertised. Digital Home considers the D-Link DNS-323 a ‘Top Performer’ that should be a welcome addition to any home network.

We're using this to stream audio files at an NHL facility. Setup instructions are vague and certainly not in a technically accepted format. It runs very well on a small Gigabit subnet and some of the earlier bugs are no longer apparent. We're not using the server functions of this device so I can't review that. I have a variety of NAS equipment in various locations and this one fits in the middle of the pack.

Great storage device paired along with caviar greens. Impossible to hear drives spinning unless you just turned it on. Works great to back up whatever files you wish. Very easy to set up and the instructions are simple to follow. Only problem is that the printer support is sorta weird and haven't gotten it working

Bought to store movies, pictures, and disk images/backups for home network. For a mirrored RAID function (I have 1.5 TB WD caviar greens inside), it is a smoking deal, esp when on sale. Simple to set up. Easy to access. Power saving function appeals to certain members of the house, and to be honest the 10 seconds or so it takes to spool up are not a problem.

I haven't had much experience with NAS but from the reviews I read and spec-wise this is one of the most reasonably priced NAS enclosure with respectable features (Gigabit ethernet, jumbo frame, print server)

This product was really easy to set up, i'm not a technical person, but i managed to get a raid 1 set up by reading the manual. Bought this along with 2 seagate 500GB drives. the unit works pretty quiet, but i do find that it gets quite warm after a few hours, luckily it has an aluminum casing.

I just bought another one of these. I'm using it for data storage (Raid 1) and it's performing very well. For me one of the best features is that the fan turns itself off and the disks go to sleep. When used heavily the fan will spin pretty fast and make quite a bit of noise, but for a couple of minutes I can live with it.

I bought this to share files on my network between computers, and as an always on FTP server. I does serve those 2 purposes admirably. The transfer speed is very good considering its only a 100 mbit port (Around 10MB/sec). I Installed a WD Caviar Green 1TB drive in it, works flawlessly so far.

I have been using the DNS 323 for ~2 months now. I purchased two Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 1500GB 1.5TB SATA2 7200RPM 32MB hard drives for this unit, and configured it RAID 0 (striping, no parity)

This unit is very good for what it is meant for. Transfer speed is decent and the new 1.08 firmware allows more custumizations as well.

It is overall a very decent unit. Bought 2 SATA drives to put in there and it works great. The only downside is it cannot really hook up to a domain without tweaking. Nonetheless, it is a very solid product and I would recommand it to anyone who is interested buying a NAS.
