Pros

Quad and SLI support.
Cons
Only one ethernet but not to much of a big deal.
Summary
I have had this board for just about a year, I think it just came out and then paid about $230 for it as far as I can remember. It was my first build after researching at the time, I was going to get it and overclock my Intel C2D 4300 but never got that far. I havent had any problems not ram problems or anything. It seemed like it had everything I could ever want and as I am am an aspiring 3d modeler I wanted something that I could upgrade with etc. I want to get a quad once they drop in price a bit more, the c2d on the macs we have scream when rendering in 3ds max. I cant wait, I will get more ram soon.

Getting off topic a great mother board now its $100 cheaper then when I got it, I havent researched anything newer but it seems like a great deal especially at a lower price tag.

I'd recommend this to anyone building there first system. Having another ethernet jack would be nice so I dont have to unplug when playing 360 online other then that I am very happy.

Pros

Very stable motherboard, reasonably priced
Cons
None
Summary
Well what can I say, as in most ASUS motherboards, this one runs very stable. It replaces my other Asus P5P800, which fried after years of heavy use. This Motherboard housed my Pentium 4 w/hyperthreading very well, and eventually I will be upgrading it to a quad or dual core. Would give five stars, but nothing's perfect!

Pros

really really overclockable/tweakable.
Cons
older bios was frusterating with mushkin HP2-6400.
only one pci slot after a SLI rig with dual cooler solution.
Summary
by default the ram timings were wrong, after a bios update smooth sailing. befor that lots of blue screens. has every imaginable setting in the bios. my Q6600 rocks with this board. had a spare asus fan for the SB, so not a problem, runs cool now. altho my Q6600 does overclock quite well with mushkin HP-6400, just happy with stock everything. id advise to update the bios first thing..

Pros

SLI, a proven overclocker and the ability to keep your old hard drives or CD/DVD drives thanks to two IDE headers
Cons
Not true SLI, inadequate cooling on the northbridge if doing heavy overclocking and no cooling on the southbridge.
Summary
This board was the front runner for many months. Reviews found it to be a solid, reliable overclocker that is future proof since it can accomodate processors with FSB's of 533 straight up to 1333.

So far it has been rock solid without any hardware or BIOS issues.

Be warned though, if you're looking for true SLI then you should look elsewhere. True SLI should run both cards at x16. This board will run them at x8 which will make a difference but can't match the power of true SLI.

Pros

this is a pretty board with a nice simple bios an over good 650i board.
Cons
WAYYY to many memory incompatabilities... unles the new bios fixes a few of these i dont know if this the route to go for a nice high ram bus.
Summary
really crappy RAM performance 1T? dont even go there! unless you like unstable rigs dont buy this with high performance ram

Comment: "We think not, and we believe the 650i SLI chipset offers basically the same or better performance as the 680i about 95% of the time for significantly less money. It may turn out that this chipset isn't so much of a P965 killer but instead is a 680i killer in most cases."
