Pros Nice little card, very fast. Overclocks dang well.
Cons A little high priced for the age of it. only 320MB
Summary I have owned one of these cards for about a year and a half or so, and bought this one to sli. didnt really see that much diffrence, but I gotta say, just using the single card wasnt really taxing anything anyway. would definatly buy again, especially for the lifetime warranty.
Summary I purchase a 8800GTS EVGA superclocked a while ago. I love it. I needed a video card for my daughters PC and I purchased this one. Without frame rates or performance tests both our computers look identical when we play each other in COD 4. EVGA seems to be a great company and answers even foolish questions quick. This card or the superclocked is a win IMO or I would not have bought both. 5 star for price to performance,
Pros Fast and powerful Can play all the latest games at their highest settings
Cons Alt+tab prob, but fixed with latest drivers Can be loud if fan is at 100% Takes up two slots
Summary Excellent card. It played all the games I had at their highest settings. Drivers were also great. No problems at all. You can also overclock this card to get more performance. High recommended especially at this price.
Pros Nice heatsink VERY QUIET fairly priced for performance
Cons while it does have a nice heatsink taking up 2 slots, youd think it would run very cool like 40 or 50 degrees, but it runs at 60-70 degress, same as my old Gerforce 6800
Summary this thing is massive! it actualy bent my case slightly puting it in. but for what you pay for its not such a bad deal assuming you cant dish out an extra 80 bucks for a GT. i would recommend if it fits your budget.
Cons 8800GT is a better buy 320MB is lacking for higher resolutions
Summary This card plays the latest and the greatest at respectable framerates, with all the eye candy turned on. may have difficulty with crysis on High, but still a pretty good card. might be better off getting the GT now though.
Pros - Backed by EVGA support - Still holds up to pretty much any game - not too large (compared to other 8800's) - high memory bandwidth - beats anything priced under $200
Cons - 320MB...but you get what you pay for
Summary I bought this card for basically an all-around fast PC. It's not a gaming machine, but I needed a decent card to handle vista and photo editing ect. This was my answer. Got it for 190 with rebate and it's perfect for the job. It does handle almost every game out today maxed out, other than CRYSIS...but then again, what does right??
Anyway, highly recommend this card to anyone looking for an affordable high performance graphics solution.
