I bought this card because of the immense praise HT Omega has received for both sound quality and lack of software hassles.
There are as many connections on the back as possible, with both optical and coaxial S/PDIF out and optical in. No combo ports. Tested on an Altec Lansing 2.1 set, which I feel I need to upgrade now.

Overall it's a good card. Works much better than the Auzentech HDA Xplosion which would rarely even install in Vista x64. Still it's based on the CMedia chipset and their control panel software looks extremely dated.
I know this is alot of money for a sound card. There are other cheaper cards with the oxygen chip but I opted for the claro. From reviews I have read they make an excellent product. Install easy, software is light and simple to use. Had a chaintech in my htpc hooked up to my sony receiver and this is 10 time better than the chaintech. I like the optical in - out and also has digital coax. It does anything in digital. Played batt2 in dig3/2 sounded awesome. Come with a opt cable as well. I have a aud2 in another rig and it is very good but wished it had the optical.
