Intel Core 2 Duo E2160 vs E6300: With an average overclock of 3.6Ghz the E2160 doesn’t disappoint, reaching the speed of 3Ghz will almost be a guarantee and your system with €80 CPU will run only marginally slower compared to one with an expensive Core 2 X6800 inside.

This is a pretty good CPU. 1.8ghz is all that my mom needs. The heatsink that comes with the CPU is a bit thinner than the Core 2 Heatsinks. I won't overclock this for now since my mom doesn't really need it.

I picked up this processor for a low end pc for my parents (who only use it for internet use). With it Overclocked to 2.7ghz, it run windows processes as well as my pc with a Q6600. Perfect for their use.

What can I say? This is a cheap processor for a budget build. Only 1.8ghz stock but is easily overclocked to 3.0ghz with a decent aftermarket cooler.

Bought this CPU for a low end system for a friend of mine and so far it performs very well at low temperature. My friend won't overclock her computer so I can't say how this CPU works at higher voltage. Good purchase.

Will hit 3 Ghz no problem. Some stepping will reach higher. Really great value as it is a lot better than what AMD can offer. OC'd from day one and still going strong.

Managed to crank this up to 3.6Ghz (400x9) with Liquid using a DS3L. I am very, very, very happy with this chip. This now holds a special place in my heart for being able to hit a 100% OC. Clock for Clock it is faster then my previous Athlon X2 6000+ ($187 chip) and OC's higher on liquid and still runs cooler (Got the 6000+ up too 3.5 Ghz and was semi-stable, using a 1.8 VCore). Only had to up the VCore on this chip to 1.6 to hit 3.6 Ghz. Temps are 25-30C idle and 60-65C under full load. Highly recommend this for any overclockers out there looking for a cheap thrill.

Purchased for a lower end build. For the price it cant be beat. Performs well and is quick enough for basic applications.

Running at 3 GHz (333x9) stable with stock cooling. I would have hoped for 3.2 GHz, but each chip is different of course. Pretty good for a CPU I got for less than $80! Would be nice if the heat sink had some copper in it for better cooling, but I won't complain too much for the price. All in all, I got what I expected.

Overclocked this to 3.4 GHz on GA-P35-DS3L (1.45 V) with Scythe Ninja Rev B HSF. Rock solid. Max temperature in Prime95 is 65 C, under 50 C in games, idles at 26 C. Boots at 3.6 GHz but fails after some time in Prime95. I did a smudge job on with the thermal paste so it might actually be able to do more with proper application. It only has 1 MB cache but at less than $100, it's well worth it.
