Operational Guidelines
- Four channels of ZM-MFC2 detect fan RPM signals. - The Alarm will activate if a fan is not connected or if there is no RPM input signal for any of the channels. - To deactivate the Alarm, the Stand-By Mode (default setting: ON) of each unused channel must be deactivated.
1.
1. Selecting a Channel/Deactivating Stand-By Mode (1) Select a channel with the Mode Button (The selected channel will begin to flicker). (2) Press the Jog Wheel to deactivate the selected channel’s Stand-By Mode. The fan image will turn off. (3) Deactivate the Stand-By Mode of all unused channels as mentioned above.
Note: Deactivating the Stand-By Mode of all the channels will not deactivate other functions (Channel Output, RPM Display, RPM Setting & Saving etc.)
2.
2. RPM Setting and Saving (1) Select a channel with the Mode Button. (2) Set the RPM with the Jog Wheel. (Turning the Jog Wheel in clockwise motion will increase the RPM, and turning it counter-clockwise will decrease the RPM) (3) Press the Mode Button again to save the set value and to select the next channel. (If nothing is input for 5 seconds, the ZM-MFC2 will automatically save the latest setting and leave the Setting Mode).
3.
3. Initializing to Default Settings Press the Mode Button for 3 seconds. (The entire display will be on for 1 second and all fans will be set to 1500 RPM)

After the initial “OMG that's so cool!” reaction, the novelty wears off pretty quickly after we had used it for a while – it looks fantastic but any long term usability is destroyed by the fact we simply couldn’t read it! It got extremely frustrating to continually have to contort myself every time
"The ZM-MFC2 has two very strong points in its favor: A wide control range that allows adjustment to below the stall voltage of most fans, and the ability to measure power consumption. That said, they are balanced by two design flaws: A clumsy interface, and a narrow viewing angle. ... As it stands,

Good product, does the job, bad viewing angle blah blah blah. Not sad I bought it, but really it should be like $40. My biggest complaint is the watt meter is horribly inaccurate. Q6600, 2x8800gts 640, 4g ram, strike extreme mb and I'm only using 230watts at load. My comp wouldn't even turn on with a 620psu I had to upgrade. So I think the watt guage is pretty useless.

I picked this up earlier this week while I was in Vancouver and I love it. It took a while to install, but that was in part due to the fact tha tI was instaling 3 new fans at the same time. Its controls are really easy to use and the lcd gives all the info you could need with regards to your fans. I was also pleasantly surprised because I didn't realize that it came with 4 temp sensors. Only thing I wish is that it came with another y splitter, really handy to be able to control 2 fans ( say 2 cpu heatsink fans ) with one control.

Really good product overall. I really like how I can control 4 fans to get rid of the noise when Iam only surfing the net and so forth. The temp/wattage readout is also a very cool feature. The only problem is to read the display you have to be looking directly at it.

I'd say its a fairly solid product. Looks sexy, pretty functional.. watt meter is nice. The viewing angle really is horrid, and because of this alone, i would probably not buy again. if this was fixed I would give it 5 stars, but for now, its a 3.
