I bought this model because of my previous experience with LG optical drives. It does handle any type of disc I throw at it. There were a couple of -R's from a friend which didn't work, but they were unviewable on any computer or DVD player, so I'm putting that down to bad disc/burn rather than a problem with this drive.
Brought this drive to replace other LG Drive I had, still worked but friend needed Drive so I gave him mine. This drive is solid. Have never had a bad experience with Dvd Writers, This time is no different. And for the price you can not go wrong.

Bought this a month ago, and i have to say that it works pretty well. I've burned about 29 discs since i got it and have to say that for the price this thing is awesome. It even came with lightscribe (which i've yet to try). The only thing I dislike about this burner is the sound. Sometimes it's louder then my games, but maybe I just got a faulty one.

Has bought this drive for replacing a old one which wasn't burning properly.
Replacement was easy, and is working fine, the only thing I found a bit low is the cache of the drive, 2MB is a bit low when burning at really high speed.
