This is a great value power supply on sale or price matched. Extremely quiet up to 250-300W loads and very efficient even at low loads. My HTPC with Core 2 Duo, GT240 and a couple of 7200rpm drives idles around 70W measured using a kill-a-watt.
Using this for my HTPC build. Would have liked a modular PSU to help with cable management and airflow, but this is a solid, reliable, well-backed PSU that I got for a good price. I seriously considered getting a fanless PSU, or one that shuts off the fan, but they are much more expensive and when you are watching bluray action movies you don't really mind the fan.

Its been powering an Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550, iGP motherboard, and 2X1TB hdd office server 24-7 for the last year. Most people have to put their hand over the big 200mm top fan on the mini P180 case to believe the system actually running.

Bought this for a budget Home General Purpose PC. Good product for the price. Cables are extra-long, and sleeved (which is nice). The unit is quiet, and hasn't produced a hiccup since!
Corsair really makes some impressive pieces of equipment. This power supply is no exception. It is virtually silent, high quality and deliver enough power for a low end system. Highly recommended for small builds.

update d my 6 year old HTPC system to try to improve power usage. I was amazed to see a 50w reduction, which will translate into almost $50/year - the update will pay for itself in a little over a year!

This is my second Corsair PSU I buy and I'm still very satisfied ! I was looking primarily for a quiet PSU and this PSU is the most quiet active component in my build. The cables are long enough for an Antec 300 with the PSU on the bottom.

The review articles for this model on the computer hardware review sites are excellent. Quality components and output among the most stable. This unit is manufactured by Seasonic, which makes this my third Seasonic unit. The other two have given me several years of quiet, stable systems.

Product Warranty
First 30 days limited warranty through NCIX.com. The remainder of the 3 year warranty is provided directly by the manufacturer.
Corsair's DRAM memory modules all carry a lifetime warranty. The Flash Voyager, Flash ReadOut, TurboFlash, Flash Survivor and Mini Flash products all have a warranty for the expected normal life of the product (10 years). The Flash Padlock has a warranty of 3 years. The HX, TX, and VX Series of Power Supplies have a 5 year warranty, and Liquid Cooling products carry a one year warranty. In general, this means Corsair products are guaranteed to operate, as specified by their datasheet, and in the operating environment for which they were intended, for the life of the product or the extent of the warranty.
